It is a real shame that they aren't making pinball anymore. If they can do this with video poker, imagine where the silver ball would be.

    #3 8 years ago

Man i think ill cancel buying a AFM n pick up one of these sweet machines.....

It's about enough to make me spew...

It helps not to think about it gorilla. I was in vegas a couple of months ago and wandered the casinos seeing thousands of machines with the WMS logo. It made me sad, so until this post I tried not to think about it.

    #6 8 years ago

    That is just depressing.

    #7 8 years ago

    ... [speechless]

I will erase all memories of this post as soon as the tears dry!

yeah, I wish I didn't follow the urge to see the WMS.com website that my NGG was telling me to look for. I forgot my machine was 15 years old....

    #11 8 years ago

Black Knight? Now that aint right.

    #12 8 years ago

And they make more money with these than pinball. Don't blame williams they just wanted to stay in business,

    #13 8 years ago

    Yeah looks pretty lame
I guess with the increase of casinos so does the need for slots and the like?

    #14 8 years ago

It sucks, but I can't blame them. Just wish that with all the money they're pulling in now, that would at least consider making 1-2 pins a year.

Still show Stern who the boss is

    #15 8 years ago

Blame them, no, not at all. But, it's still kinda like seeing the gal you really wanted to marry walking hand in hand with the guy whose ass you wanted to kick.

But I still thank Williams for all of the awesome times I have with there old pins!

Gottlieb is probably making can openers or something.

    #17 8 years ago

    You got the power,
    you got the might,
    pull the gold lever,
    defeat the Black Knight.

    Rascal....that was quite funny!

    Quoted from SealClubber:

Never played it, is that the slogan? The DMD scroll?

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.... To think that on a slot machine....

    #20 8 years ago

I wonder how an AFM pin would do it it were set next to the slot. Or a Black Knight for that matter. It would maybe be a way to generate some quick interest in pinball. It would probably never happen as the pin wouldn't pull in any money at all compared to a slot.

I was told by the operator that I bought my AFM from that it started its life in a casino here in KC. I can't remember which one he said.

It's only the catchiest song ever used in a pinball machine ...

Hmmmm ... my one commercial slot machine is Dracula Returns

That is a good way to put it.

I want to smash all of those AFM and BK slot machines. Shame on you, Williams!!!

    #28 8 years ago

Hey what if they make so much money they can get back into pinball?
    Wms Black Knight 3 - 2015 anyone?

    #29 8 years ago

Just wait until you see the slot machine Universal's "Monsters" that will be out in early 2012...most of the characters from MB will be in it...

    #30 8 years ago

Ha, Williams going back to pinball? Not going to happen. Sad though, especially with JJP and Stern kicking in into high gear (that is if Stern actually makes real games again).

    Quoted from Crash:

You mean "Not The Rolling Stones?"

    #32 8 years ago

I find it amusing though how they are re-using their original pinball themes as a way to "forget the industry."

i am in australia and you guys would be gobsmacked at whats happening here. you yanks have got slots sure but confined to towns like vegus. Here there is slots on every street corner in every pub in every town even small one horse towns. It is destroying this whole country. ask anyone you know from australia and they will tell you how bad it is.

    #34 8 years ago

I spent about six months in Sydney back in 1993. At the time, the slots were just starting to gain some serious traction. I also recall that there were TABs in every pub where you could bet on horses, sports, etc ...

    #35 8 years ago

yeh it sucks and the government will never do anything about it cause they take a big cut to let the TAB corp and others rape the people of australia

    #36 8 years ago

its cool ive played AFM,RFM,And also have played LOTR slots

    #37 8 years ago

That is sad. But they have to make money, of course. Would be nice if they incorporated some pinball in a slot machine, but it would probably wind up malfunctioning too much in the end.

The goal with slots is to not have any maintenance at this time. No more coins, fake sounds of coins hitting the tray when you cash out your redeemable voucher for your winnings, (or what you decide to quit at.)
