Quoted from chickenscratch:

Just got word pinballs.com / Automated Services are getting their 11 premiums from Stern and shipping out this week. So if one of the, if not the, largest US distributor is only getting 11 in, well, perhaps there’s some math.

I just got mine from Mike today at pinball.com. His shipment just arrived yesterday of premiums.

Joining the club tomorrow with a premium, kind of just bought it on a whim. Hope I like it

Where did you get your premium at pal? Congrats!

Thanks.

Normal, flippers generate small amounts of particulars after every flip. just play your game and order replacement coil stops just in case.

Are you digging your premium pal?

Hey guys,

Got my new Mando premium on the 19th.

When I first got my machine, insider connect was not working nor could you see the network settings in the menu.

During game play the playfield would just go dark like the tilt was being activated but it wasn't.

Then during boot up the machine can not fine node boards 1, 8, and 9. Its to the point now the machine is not playable.

Anyone else see these issues this their machine?

Thanks.

Try taking out the wi-fi adapter for IC (with the game off). Should be a little USB nub in the back box. I had this exact same issue with another game and it ended up being a bad wi-fi adapter. Also double check all your connections under the playfield - specifically the cat5/Ethernet ones - unplug and plug them back in.

Thanks pal. I reseated the cables for the node boards. Thought at first it might be the CPU board since it could not see Node 1,8,and 9. Swap out the CPU with my Led Zep and had the same issues. The WiFi adapter was not plugged into the Led Zep CPU that I installed. Stern tech support has been not much help to this point. Still waiting to hear back from Pablo. Going on 2 days now. Might just be a software firmware issue with the node boards.

First, insider connect isn't enabled yet for Mando.
Might be similar to what I've been seeing: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/this-is-the-way-the-mandalorian-owners-club/page/86#post-6802692
Check the power status LEDs on the CPU board in the backbox and see which ones are lit. My issue was intermittent, and I saw the VNB (node bus voltage) light would go off/on when the issue was occurring.
Yesterday I found that the ground wire for the CPU board (upper left 48V connector CN7) was a little loose and had backed out of the connector a bit, and due to the wire tie for that bundle of wires was getting pulled on. I created a little slack on that wire, and pushed it all the way back into the connector. After that I played for about an hour, let it sit in attract mode for a couple hours, then played again for about an hour more without seeing any issues, so I'm hoping that was causing it since it seems like the kind of thing a flaky ground would cause, but we'll see.

Thanks pal. I'll give it a try.

Also another weird thing is is once I open the coin door and shut it again only the general illumination lights will light on the right hand side of the playfield not the left hand side of the playfield.

#4284 2 years ago

It isn't the 48v connector at the CPU. But it's definitely connector somewhere else. It's the same issues you're describing with some added weirdness.

After spending the amount of money I did on this pin and having these issues right out of the box brand new. Plus Stern not getting back to me.

I'll be taking it back to the vendor for another one or my money back.

Quoted from KSP1138:

Good luck. When mine would die I could usually get it to come back by opening the coin door and pulling the interlock, but not always. And sometimes everything would just start blinking off and on. If it isn't an issue with the 48v connector at the CPU board the only advice I can give is to start checking for any loose connectors, and loose wires going into connectors.

Just want to let you know it ended up being node board 9 causing those issues on my Mando. By the way Stern sucks ass with their tech support. Going on 4 days without a response back.

Quoted from KSP1138:

Glad you got it sorted out. Was the node board itself bad or just one of its connections?
They got back to me almost immediately with some initial basic things to check, but I had figured it out on my own by the time they replied again the next morning. I guess it depends on who you get.

It was the actual node 9 that was bad.
I noticed on all the node boards that the amber led network link indicator wasn't flashing simultaneously. It was flashing in a pattern. I started disconnected the cat 6 cables one at a time.

Then notice when I disconnected the cable going to node 9 that link led was flashing the way it was supposed to, that it was communicating to the other node boards.

Took my node 9 board out of Led Zeppelin. Installed it in Mando and he is now back in action.

Quoted from torpedo2k:

I have had mine unplugged for the last month until yesterday when the insider connect update dropped. I relocated it to the door. Works fine without the reader connected. As soon as I can get a decal I will cover up the hole.

That is actually a great idea where you located it to.

I have a chance to get a Mando premium back. Has the code gotten any better in the past 6 months?

Thanks,
Ted
