Had my first mando breakdown after 1200 plays. The left upper playfield flipper quit working on a very nice game 600 million on ball 2. Well getting that playfield off is quite fun having to lift the playfield out of the machine to access the screws on the side of the mini pf is no fun by yourself. I used a cut off broom handle to support the back of the playfield over the rails so I could access the mini pf. Problem turns out to be a broken flipper wire. Examining the failure the solder joint was good the wire fractured behind it most likely due to repetitive motion. No good way to add strain protection so I added some heat shrink over the coil lug and wire to add some support. Will see if it hold up on the next 1200 games. Game was very dirty under the playfield so it gave me an opportunity to clean and wax playfield. Game is holding up nice and is a real challenge for me as I have set it up very steep and outlines are open. It’s my daily player for the past few months fantastic game wish they would make a few more code refinements think ambush mode is great but should be worth a bit more to offset the risks. Hopefully stern will address other issues besides the topper issues in future updates.
