Quoted from Randper:

QUALITY ISSUES? I got my Mando Premium a few weeks ago and I've already had 3 white general illumination LED's go out on me, one of the solders on the under apron light was de-soldered when it arrived (I already fixed that), and today I notice heavy wear where the ball comes out for the shooter ramp. I got a Jurassic Park Pro last year and it's been rock solid, zero issues. Wondering if issues like these are normal and I shouldn't complain, or if something might be up with this machine? And any advice for the pictured issue would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!
[quoted image]

One of first things to always do with new Stern pin is turn down the trough eject. Its crazy high at stock. I alwaysn turn down to 185 and have never had shooter lane issues with like 12 sterns

#1302 2 years ago
Quoted from flynnibus:

That looks pretty normal - they are talking about the left ramp entrance.

Thank you. Gonna pop a beer and play some pinball.

You should still look at the left ramp entrance on the left side under the metal protector. That’s the only place I have heard of plastic breaking so far.

It looks like a screw hole on one side. Check near any screws on the right ramp too.

Quoted from thekaiser82:

Ha. That exact one was loose for me as well. I swapped that one and the one to the left of grogu with green. Looks so much better imo. Hard to appreciate the gentle glow from a photo but you get the idea.
[quoted image]

I thought that might look good, which is why one of the three bulbs stuck in the back of my game was a green one.

Thank you for the help!

I could be wrong but I think this may be where it came from. Is this how it’s supposed to look?

I believe so. Mine looks exactly the same.

#1307 2 years ago

Can someone please clarify exactly how to bend the diverter scoop bracket to stop the buzzing? I see the instructions from Stern, but it's not super clear on exactly where to bend. Thanks!

#1308 2 years ago

Found it! Rough edges and all.

So what do you think? Is this something I should worry about?

Where can i find info about the moving grogu mod?

Take another pic from a little further back. You can probably just ask Stern to send you a replacement plastic. Or is it the ramp? Either way you should be able to get a replacement. I would ask for one even if you have no intention if replacing.

#1312 2 years ago

Got an Email from Cliffy today that my ramp protector is on the way and got a call that my Mando Pro will be delivered Thursday! Can't wait!

#1313 2 years ago

Just got back from picking up my premium. Now just need this work day to get over so I can set it up!!

#1314 2 years ago

Looks like it was my Mando's time to give up. I think I'll take this to work tomorrow and have our welders take a look at it. The weldings look extra fragile in this one.

Early run?

#1316 2 years ago

Mine did that. I used JP Weld and Zip tie.. Works great. I still have the replacement part but figured I'll put it in later.

#1317 2 years ago

Yeah, it's from the first batch of games to land to this corner of the world. I'd be curious to see how the later versions look like.

#1318 2 years ago

Mine was from the initial batch of pros and it is still hanging in there.

Apparently there is a 4th weld and they are more robust (the welds).

That looks normal too, keep looking lol.

I have this problem as well but only the right sided button...

Make sure you're not missing coil sleeves :/ was getting same errors and lots of sticking. No coil sleeves were installed.

Anybody have issues with the spotlight bulb that points at Grogu popping out? It’s been floating around on my playfield about twice now. I think the shaker motor in this machine (LE) is pretty darn powerful! Rattles the bulb out.

Yes. Just set the shaker to moderate. Easy fix.

The one near Grogu also keeps falling out on the pro.

#1325 2 years ago

With a Grogu out of the game, there sure is plenty of real estate for another cool mod or something in that spot. Animated Grogu is going in replacing the static figure. But I had some ideas when I saw all the room.

Edit: Who the hell downvotes a simple photo showing a part removed?

That doesn’t change the intensity of the shake, just the frequency with which the shaker activates. Strength of the shaker can only be adjusted by making physical adjustments to the shaker. Unless they have changed that with Mando.

I used some hot glue and it seems to be staying in place.

Same here. Hot glue has held it. I had the shaker off since day one and that bulb still kept coming out.

Speaking of shakers, how’s the shaker implementation in Mando?

#1330 2 years ago
Quoted from Xelz:

Very well done. I removed my shaker from Stranger Things before trading it and installed it in Mando. MUCH, MUCH better shaker integration in Mando than ST.

Weird I turned it on and just got violent vibrations/buzzing. I'll have to investigate some then. I pulled mine from a SAM but was assured it was the same motor and had the extension kit for SPIKE. Maybe I have a loose or slightly off weight.

It started shaking on boot up? I'd re-check the connectors, make sure plugged into the shaker connector and it isn't off by one pin over. I didn't know there was an adapter for spike to use the SAM shakers...would've bought a $40 new one I saw at the Allentown show in the flea market.

No, just during the game when it's supposed to. But super intense loud vibrations that would shake the whole machine. Not very pleasant lol. Wasn't like my Star Trek that was sort of a low roll vibration that let you know something happened.

When I ordered my shaker from Stern for my SAM game about two years ago they sent me hardware to put it in a SPIKE game and my SAM. For the SPIKE it was the CAP kit (not needed on Mando, according to Stern support), slightly longer cabinet screws, and an extension harness to reach the node board.

That’s normal. Dwight likes his shakers intense. Ghostbusters and Munsters are the same. Haven’t seen SW with one.

I built a kit on Titan for Mando LE in "Beskar Grey" and just finished installing it. Thought I'd share a few images for those considering Titan's. I really like the way it looks with the LE motif.

You could put R2D2 there!

Meanwhile, bulb #1 has reappeared at the most inconvenient of times:

I was thinking along those lines, but maybe Moff Gideon's Tie with an escort?

His big Star Destroyer ship would also look imposing aimed at the player from the back playfield.

Has anyone else wished that we got a re-skin of the battlefield upper playfield from the shadow? There’s no shame in revisiting probably the best upper playfield in Pinball and it fits the Theme perfectly with the theme of Mando in a shootout and deflecting blaster shots, etc.

Honestly, I really don’t like flailing away in the upper playfield whether it’s flat or raises and lowers.

#1344 2 years ago

Is the left ramp supposed to be off the playfield? The flap touches the ground but the ramp itself is raised above the playfield. I can't hit the left ramp from a cradled ball from either flipper. Do I suck?

Yes the ramp is off the playfield.

One of our welders at work was kind enough to make the weld right on this thing, now Mando lives again.
