Quoted from Crile1:I’m the club. Played the pro and traded for a Premium. Can’t believe how different the Premium plays. So much better in my opinion. Mods ordered and wait for shipping.

Similar experience here. I really like the pro but traded it and ended up with a Premium. Completely different game and even better.

I'm going to pile on. I have a Pro on route and a Pro at my office. Liked playing both and was going to get a Pro for home. Figured I would get the Premium so that I have some variety, and yea...Premium is significantly better on this game.

If anyone is in doubt, go Premium.

Hey has anyone ever thought about modifying the mini playfield on a Pro?

Was thinking about putting a mini flipper up there and figuring out a way to close the gap a little bit, so that it's maybe a little more fun to play, cause right now it's my least favorite part about the game, it always seems like maybe 1 or 2 flips and the ball is gone when I get it up there.

Was just wondering if this has been discussed before? Couldn't find anything in a search. Thanks.

The actuated scoop on the U-turn of the premium alone is worth the upgrade, imo. That shot is so damn rewarding. Super Jackpots at the end of a tie fighter multiball, especially with a shaker motor... oof. The upper playfield is cool and guests tend to respond to that more than anything else, but the actuated scoop is where it's at. The grogu magnet is pretty underwhelming at the moment, still hoping that sees a little more integration at some point (a munsters style 2-ball multiball hurry-up would be great imo).

Also, the cabinet art on the Premium is just kickass. I've got it on the end of my lineup just so I can see it from the rest of our basement. Nothing cooler than that first whistling birds scene of the series.

My son taught me how to use his 3d printer. My first DIY mod, gravity bombs in the flashers.

Those look pretty slick. Is there an STL file for your design Crile1 !

I really try to keep the Stern “Essence” when I put in a toy. I rarely do this. However, Figpins are perfect scale and very detailed. Also, they are very easy to install as the base has a hole for mounting.

-I know some won’t take to this (Wasn’t made and sold for a million dollars on pinside) but there are a million figpins for your liking to choose from. They are also a great scale for pinball. Here are some photos.

-I post this to inspire others and show modding doesn’t have to cost a ton. I got this on sale at my GameStop for $7.

Still strongly in the honeymoon phase of this game. However, I am really starting to enjoy the strategy of this game. My kids are having fun banging around and starting a multiball or two, but I’m really starting to see this as a strategy game. I find that I am trying out different foundry strategies and trying to set up multiball. Also, the scope can be very lucrative on getting beaker or other features. Putting it all together to eventually get to This Is The Way is going to be a fun adventure.

AND, thank you Dwight for team and monster play. I’ve played more games with my kids recently on this machine than most of my others.

Hello. This is my first ever pinside post lol. We own a Mando LE (looks absolutely stunning). I have 81/83 achievements on the game and I am missing the 75 million Razor Crest Hurry-up achievement (apart from Mando Madness which is un coded). I was told to build the Razor Crest Hurry up shot, get all playfield multipliers, and use Flame Thrower when it is built. Any other suggestions?

#5361 1 year ago

DIY mod number 2: speaker accents.

Same here. Seems the way to go. If you finished Multiball 1 you can increase the value by hitting the target over and over again before going for hunter. Then get PF x6 and spam the middle ramp. So I got close to the achievement (~70Mil), so shouldn´t be too hard, if you are just looking for it.

They are looking very good. Was also thinking about printing some. How did you mount them?

They are cooling fan covers that I found on Thingverse. They have holes to mount in all four corners. So, 8 screws (#4), washers, and nuts was all it took. Just popped speakers off and mounted to the metal grates.

Yep, thanks! I got the achievement yesterday and ended on a 1.1 bil game!

So… no news on the topper yet?

#5367 1 year ago

I ran into a strange bug where I had to play Defeat the Mud Horn three times. I'd finish the mode and the insert would still be blinking and the next mode start would be Mud Horn. It was stacked with a multiball the first time but I don't recall the exact circumstances of how it happened.

I've seen this same issue with other missions, but can't replicate it. It is a bug for sure though.

Sorry if I am repeating comments anyone else already made and I missed.

About the topper, my theory is that the timing is waiting on the next code version to be ready, of course including code for topper functions.

It’s 100% Disney approvals. Takes forever to get them to approve something.

Supply chains are still strained too. Combination of both is the way.

It’s also that toppers use node boards. Those suffer supply chain issues often. From the hdmi grabs other have shown on here, these toppers might be trying to use a projection or screen effect of some kind which could also be setting it back.

Question for anyone with a Pro that has replaced the plastic rails with the stock metal ones from a Premium -- should I have done anything other than just swap them out, put a washer on the screw, and tightened them down? I'm having issues with the ball sometimes coming in too hot off the right ramp and spinning/jumping right over the end of the rail and draining. It seems like maybe the rail isn't secured fully and rattles just a tiny bit, giving the ball some lift? I guess it's possible my metal rails got bent a little at the end during storage/shipping and I might just need to bend the two curves at the end of the wire form a little bit more apart, but I'm wary of trying to bend something if there's some other dumb thing I'm missing. I'm still new to all of this.

Anyone know where you can buy the playfield metal black powder coated channel? I have searched every parts site I could find with no luck.

Go with your initial instincts and give them a little bend, it's not uncommon for them to need a little tweak once in the game.

Finally done (I think) with my homemade mods. Magnetic bombs on flashers, speaker panels, troop transport, Foundry, floating gun turret (episode 1), Kuiil, Keep out Stormtrooper helmets on sand, bounty puck action button cover, and This is the way lighted topper. Added mirror blades, shaker, and lighted flipper buttons.

I had the same issues with the longer ramp. The fix? Make sure washer on the mount by the slingshot. But most importantly make sure the long plastic runway on the top right has all of its posts tightened very tight or that whole thing vibrates and has torque due to the length of the stand offs. All was great afterwards

Just joined the club and boy am I glad I did! Dare i say its the best star wars themed pin on market? Loving the code and rules thus far

#5388 1 year ago

in the club for 1 month (loan), as my son & i we wanna learn it...
not usual with the pin, only played few games on it, 15 days ago, than all i know was from watching streams
of course i have a lot to read here, but today we already played +/- 40 games and we have the overall rules in mind

and than probably a 1st bug (which is surelly know already) : i was playing level 3 of the yellow mini wizard, multiball, 1 ball goes in the scoop > foundry > flippers dead, all balls out (except the one in the scoop) > when foundry over, game give me back the multiball (hard to say more right now), than !?

its a PRO model

Has anyone reported the Bug to Stern? Better to do it early and often before they stop updating the pin!

Quoted from bigguybbr:

what you did? indeed, my also play harder than the one i played in location

#5397 1 year ago
Quoted from Days:

what you did? indeed, my also play harder than the one i played in location

There were a few things that I played with.

First thing was trying to adjust the encounter ramp front screws to ensure the spring steel at the front lays perfectly flat. I’m waiting to hear back from Cliffy on getting new ramp protectors as I suspect the stock Stern ramp protectors are the source of much of the issue. They don’t fit or follow the ramp contour very well and are a poor design.

For the right ramp I loosened the nut under the playfield securing the front of the ramp down to the playfield to adjust the angle of the front spring steel. I am getting less air balls and rejects on that ramp after.

Last thing that I found on my machine is that the cabinet switches for the flippers were gapped far too tight, and I think it might have thrown off my aim slightly by causing me to flip a tad early. I compared it to my DP and AIQ set up on either side of my and saw the leaf switches have about a 1/16” gap, where my Mando had about half that so it was flipping with a very light touch. Micro flips and stage flipping were very difficult how it was set up.

I’m sure that part of the difference in how my machine plays also comes from the fact that I just stripped down the playfield, cleaned it with novus 2 to get out some of the ball trails and light scratches, and carnauba waxed it (Meguirer’s Gold) so it is certainly playing fast. I also added fresh Titan silicone rubbers which when new add significantly more spin on the ball which can throw off your shots for a little bit.

#5398 1 year ago

Finally made it to I Like Those Odds wizard mode last night. I agree with previous posts that this needs polish. I loved the code, stages, and clips. But needs better music and had no call outs. Hopefully this gets polished with a code update along with other wizard modes if they are like this.

Ive been having issues selling my mando prem. I think its a fun game and it seems like others do too. Is the demand in general down or just this game?

It gets a bad rep but many love it, including myself. There are also many on the market…. Just wait till update comes out with new season scenes or the topper, will sell like hot cakes.
