Quoted from greenhoody:

Thanks God it's official. Sick of seeing guys Jaws Jaws Jaws thinking if they say it enough times Stern will listen to them or something.

Umm whats wrong with JAWS! A classic movie! Could be made with all the blood and gore like TWD.
Much better than Godzilla, Stranger Things, Rush etc
ffs JAWS all day long!

Interested to see the game play, btw any word who is the coder for this?

#2465 2 years ago

Ok was going to get this machine - had my name down, But being its confirmed Dwight is coding this - I'm out!
Someone was I guess lucky to have received a call from my dis that a spot has turned up.

Sorry pass - not another GB or Munsters path for me again! period....

SDTM The Mandalorian Pinball FIRST LOOK & FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Omg, Dream team - lol (kidding right?)

Such a one eyed hype train - Enough I get it, you sell Stern pinball machines!
Give me a break.

Quoted from Edenecho:

Dwight is an amazing coder.

Agree, But its a hit and miss as to when and if he will complete the code!
Look at GB - 3 years and that was only because of pressure from owners at every stern public event
Now Munsters - Lazy copy and paste level 2 and 3. Nothing great here

Come on!

#4042 2 years ago
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Just like Dwight polished up Munsters.

Yup, Reason why I'm not buying any more Dwight coded games atm.
He is a great coder with awesome ideas, BUT please please finish/polish the games
GB (3 years) and now Munsters (Copy paste lvl 2 and 3) has me Gutted
So much content - videos on within the code never used etc.

Mandalorian looks good, tho not fond of the upper level playfield ( kinda lame to me and a drain monster)
also the ball falling of the rail when you hit the U loop fast is bad, don't know why this wasn't already fixed prior to the live stream.

I feel, the more we pay for the machines, the less we are getting.

#4123 2 years ago
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Elvira is packed with video content. Dwight had 70 Munsters episodes to pull video from. He missed a major opportunity with that one. Lame call outs and the same few clips over and over. Should have pulled actual footage of Grandpa’s Dragula racing from the episode instead of that weak cutscene. But I digress.
For what they are asking for games and for what we are paying it’s not too much to ask for the best bang for our buck.

I really really hope Dwight does Munsters proud! But I'm not going to hold my breath.
you are spot on regarding Videos provided, and what we got is the same with the poor code.

I must admit, TMNT looks great, and code is cool as. But not purchasing one on principal!!!

Quoted from pudluther:

This is a ****ing perfect post.

Why? Because some of us do not like what we saw and posted our opinions?
Shame on us I guess....

#4128 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Munsters is done and a fun game. If you’re disappointed with it, I suggest you sell it and move on. If you didn’t like it enough to own it for a long time, why did you buy it?

I brought it because it was one of my favorite themes.
Had my name down on a LE as many did as soon as it was known it was going to be released as there next pin!

If it had been known prior that it was going to be a lazy code, I wouldn't have purchased this. (and I'm sure others wouldn't have also)

Why would I want to take a $2,000 loss on a new game I just purchased that was only just over a month old at the time!

I'm stuck with this until either Dwight does good with the code OR to where I'm happy to get a less of a loss and move the F#@#er on.

#4158 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Mistake #1

This is horseshit. It was going to be simple like Scared Stiff from day one. Ask anyone that wasn’t blinded.
STOP buying games for what you hope they will be.

There was no word on the code until Stern and Deadflip did the stream mate!
That is when we all saw what the code was!
For some of us, this was already too late...

Simple you say as Scared stiff?
What a load of Rubbish!

#4159 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

That doesn’t matter to me. All that matters is I liked the game day 1. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

Why is it so hard for YOU to Comprehend that others have a different opinion?

#4163 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

I liked B66 day one and still like it. Never liked it enough to own it at any point. It doesn’t matter.
What matters is blaming a company for not making a game the way you thought they should make it.
Why not wait until it’s done and decide? Blows my mind that people think stern is to be held accountable for their bad decisions.

Why a bad decision?
We live in the year 2021, not 1990's
For the prices we pay today, we expect our moneys worth!
We are no longer paying KIA prices...

Like I have said in the past, Munsters = Lazy code! If Llyman had done the code, Munsters would be a top 10 for sure!
One of the best art work package, and great flow and lighting.
Code and Video package lets it down!

#4166 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Different opinions are TOTALLY fine. It’s the shit talking after you bought a game too early for what you hoped it would be, and blaming it on others that chaps my ass. Just wait. Why can’t you wait??

What shit talking?
The Truth?

If you like Munsters so much, Why haven't you brought it?
Seems to have the shallow code you like..

Anyway - In Llyman I trust, for me Dwight needs to show he cares.

Anyway - back to Mandalorian

#4187 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

they owe NOTHING to you.

Exactly - That's why I no longer going to purchase a Dwight coded game!
Who's loss? mine? Nope! Stern is the one losing another LE purchase.
TMNT, Now Mandalorian! It's easy.... Saved me around $29,000

Fix Munsters, then I'll consider another Dwight game.

P.s - To say that the code stays the same on day release is horse crap.
look at all the updates Stranger Things got since release!
and many other games released! Modes added, timing changed, Videos added etc etc etc

Now look at Munsters!!!!
Forgotten - 50% or more of the video contents are unused are still sitting there within the code.....

Get real.

Ps - Munsters is the only game released from Stern to have a topic called worst code ever!

Should be ashamed, very ashamed.

#4193 2 years ago
Quoted from Pinball-NJA:

Stern lost ZERO LE purchases.
There was nothing wrong with tmnt code.
It was just extremely hard and fast for the theme.

You could look at it that way for sure, But if I had of purchased an LE, then there would have been another Premium sold!
Either way you look at it, They lost 2 sales now ( LE or Premium's)

#4304 2 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Despite what happened on Munsters, and I agree, it’s not gonna happen on an Eddy Mando game. The target audience is different?
My argument with Munsters and any game is newbies, old guys, can enjoy a deeply coded game as much as a shallow game.
They will NEVER know the difference!

What I find funny about this is .... Who are newbies? The younger generation correct?
Well then how many younger people have ever wanted or even seen Munsters! Its a Older generation theme.

So the basic code for newbies theory is just BS, a slap in the face for us owners! it's shameful.
If others are happy with the game great, but for me and many others it's a lazy copy and paste lv2,lv3 pos as it stands.

Dwight is a great coder don't get me wrong, TMNT for example, and completion on GB ( but took 3 years of pressure)

Stern and Dwight should do more for Munsters, its a disgrace...

#4314 2 years ago
Quoted from flynnibus:

You mean if stern wants to change the direction of the game. That happens few and far in between

Correct, But sales would be through the roof again.
I know it's only a 2% chance tho

But shouldn't Stern and Dwight think this is worth the effort?
Great theme,Great artwork, Great flow.. So much going for Munsters.

#4461 2 years ago
Quoted from Jediturtle:

You know what has even less to do than Munsters? Iron Man. Yet Dwight gets crucified while Lyman is worshiped.
Both are fun games, despite their shallow ruleset.
Now then...what game are we supposed to be complaining about?

One was $6,500 the other was $14,000
Again?

In Llyman I trust and know 100% it will be the best it can be ( even in his OWN time!)

#4494 2 years ago
Quoted from DNO:

Always funny when people compare a low priced pro or remake to an LE, because it suits their argument.
Then the always convincing “at the price nowadays, we deserve more!”
Even better,.. “these are for the home environment now, gimme MORE!”
Funny thing is, half the home folks are trying to operate now.

Umm Iron Man was never a Pro,premium or LE!

Quoted from fosaisu:

you'll weigh that experience when making future pinball purchasing decisions.

Correct 100% - no more Dwight pre purchase games again for me regardless even if its my holy theme!

3 weeks later
#5639 2 years ago
Quoted from Thunderbird:

Had a guy that was willing to buy our Munsters for way more than we paid, but when my wife got wind of it by my traitorous son, I was sent to the stockade by a lynching mod she gathered for nearly a week. Lol Munsters is really a theme that most people love. And love to play as well.

Hmm maybe he was mad and you should have sold it!
There is one on Aussie Arcade for $12,600 and only 160 odd games played and still for sale - Munsters LE.

#5716 2 years ago
Quoted from Waxx:

Wow, lazy coding? Seeing as you don’t know who’s decision it was to make it a simple game this seems ridiculous. Stern wanted it simple, end of story. .

Maybe so, but it is still lazy mate which ever way you look at it!
Level 2 and 3 are just a copy and paste with slight adjustments.

It could still have been simple, but make level 2 and 3 different. add more video content etc.
so so much wasted on the game. It's a flop as it stands atm
