Interesting... just called my distributor to put a deposit on Mando Premium and asked about lead time, fully expecting late summer/fall and perhaps even winter if hitting second distro, and was told he was pretty confident that it'd ship in 4 weeks. This was the distro that still had NIB MBRe SE, so perhaps I just found a gem of a distributor.

Suffice to say, excitedly put the deposit down

Quoted from Maverick203b:

I have played 3 different pros now and have a premium on order. Love the game but so glad I went premium. The spot where the 2 clear plastic ramps cross is so difficult to see through and I think it is a huge mistake they didn’t put wire form returns on all the models.

I think you did well to go with pro; I always go premium because I don’t like losing features, but the wireform plus upper pf difference is a no brainier. That and I think the cabinet art sucks on the pro, Grogu just doesn’t look right. I firmly believe Disney nailed the math/golden-ratio and everything needs to be spot on for The Child to look all cute and correct; anything else is immediate uncanny valley. Most toys don’t nail his look even, and the pro definitely does not.

2 left even, 1 for each foot!

Quoted from Phbooms:

The magnet can be pretty crazy powered. It threw the ball up over the ramp yesterday. Dwight should power it down to a crawl to mimic Grogu slowly pulling the ball with the force and possible add in some control with the action button letting the ball go when your over the lane you want the ball to go down to award you. Also Dwight if your here(i know your watching) the shaker is terribly to powerful. Every shake is full power even at minimum setting. Calm it down and make it build up. Also theres moments where all the playfield lights are off except the mini playfield that needs some work.

Is this the a magnet that would then preclude one from using Ninja balls? Never understood if it was all magnets, certain types, amount used on pf, etc.

Just showed up to pickup at terminal. Mandó is damaged! . Has anyone dealt with something like this?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Damn, sorry dude. I hope this never happens to me but bound to some day. I know my distributer is very adamant about sending back and not accepting anything other than perfect. Sucks, but not in any way as much as a damaged pin!

Quoted from Happy81724:

Yeah, the premium looks great! They really
Knocked it out on all three for art. There isn’t one that i don’t like.

I want to love the LE as the cabinet art is tits, but just couldn’t do it. It has the unfortunate pairing of cool tones on the cabinet and warm tones on the pf; a design no-no that any artist/painter would immediately point out. Also, Grogu art sucks, looks little like the child should (too wrinkly/scowly/proportions off). That being said, very much looking forward to receiving a first run Premium, which I think has best art, mainly because Grogu head art is smallest on this edition

Quoted from Purdue:

You’re not wrong in saying the premium art is the best from pictures.
But once you see them in person... The LE is the one easily. The backglass may be the coolest modern backglass i’ve ever seen. It has so much neat mirroring.

I’ll definitely need to check it out live then. Don’t make me feel bad for passing up a local LE

Quoted from Blackwolf:

This is my first home pin! Always wanted some home pinball but never truly had the space. Just converted a room in our basement to an arcade with fluorescent carpet, dark paint, and blacklights, just in time for my Premium to be shipped. (I have a couple of Arcade1up cabinets in there but this will be my first "big boy" machine. Baby's First Pinball!)
Unfortunately, the shipper got it today from my distributor, which means they can't deliver it until tomorrow at the earliest, but I have other plans during their delivery window so it'll have to be Monday afternoon...Longest weekend ever?

Getting a pin, let alone your first, is a super fun feeling. It’s so fun, it’s addicting, and why you’ll always find room for one more. Savor this… postpone it (don’t!) and believe you me, start picking out #2

Intercepted from the terminal so I could have it for the weekend. It’s a blast!

Somehow I ordered a Premium mid/late June and got in the final spot for a Premium for the first run; told it’s shipping next week as they are picking up from Stern on Friday the 23rd.

I ordered the shooter mod a week later and got it in right away; the child’s ball. Looks tits enough I figured it was official.

I’m super excited in that it’s a new pin I’ve never played, but not importantly, it’s ac on the entire family is excited about. Was nearly tempted to pick up a WOZ for the family, but I think Mando will satiate.

Tossing between IMDN, GB and simply waiting for what the next Stern and JJP will be z.

Quoted from Blackwolf:

I measured that we can fit four pins comfortably in there. (The other wall will have arcade cabinets.) The room was used as a storage room until about two weeks ago when we put in new carpet and paint. (In fact, the paint is still curing, which is why the blacklights aren't mounted to the ceiling yet.)
We're on the lookout for a '92 Doctor Who, but not in too much of a hurry.

I’ve been looking for carpet like that at a good price; what was that per sqft?

#6764 2 years ago
Quoted from thewool:

That rug on your wall really ties the room together... oops wrong thread!

Dude…

#6779 2 years ago
Quoted from TigerLaw:

Wow! They did 700 premiums before pulling them off the line? And they were only on the line 2-3 weeks? Stern’s manufacturing capabilities are incredible.
I’m super bummed mine didn’t make it in the first run of premiums, but is what it is. On the bright side im sure more code will be coming. Is it confirmed that premiums will be back on the line in October?

Eh, I got in last spot at my distributor and while I’m stoked it shipped yesterday, I wonder if second run wouldn’t be better… maybe they inline fix some of these obvious issues.

#6781 2 years ago
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

I just fixed mine in 10sec with a small piece of weather stripping. All good. Minor tweaks are normal.

Well, that’s great, but that’s not everyone’s story, judging by this thread. I have 3 NIB pins from last 75 days and no matter how often I fix, no matter the angle of approach, none still work flawlessly like they should, especially for the amount of money we spend. Anyone can rationalize and make excuses all they want, it’s really bs we need to do these things oob. But all the power to ya brother; would be glad to be in your shoes.

#6799 2 years ago
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

Are you new to pinball? Its a box of moving parts. Maintenance and tweaking will always be necessary. Any actual problem ive ever had with a (nib) game was remedied by the manufacturer. You sound like someone who likes to play but doesnt want to do (or understand) the behind the scenes work that keeps these things playing properly. If you arent enjoying your games sell them and play at a bar. Pinball ownership is fun and laborious.

Cry me a river dude
