As someone who only owns an old pin - how hard is it to do that? It looks gorgeous, btw!

I've ordered the plunger from coin taker, as I'm getting LE I don't need the other parts.

Cheers Neil!

You can see in one of my photos that I just held the blades in place with some green tape. Super easy to line up, then just screw three woodscrews on each side and they are in, then just peel off the protective coating.

Are there any features/modes that feature episode 6 from season 1 “the prisoner” that was a great one .

#5957 2 years ago
Quoted from Mando:

Are there any features/modes that feature episode 6 from season 1 “the prisoner” that was a great one .

Yep. The Razor Crest mini wizard mode "Precious Cargo" - (when you complete all 3 multiball modes).

You should check out the rules doc from Stern as it lists the season and episode each of the modes / multiballs / encounters and wizard modes are based on.

https://sternpinball.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Mando-Rule-Sheet.pdf

Looks like the following seasons / episodes appear in the game:

Season 1: Episodes - 1, 2, 3, 6, 8
Season 2: Episodes - 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

The final wizard mode "This is the way" doesn't have a season/episode listed against it though.

any LE's already out in the wild?

Yes, Tilt in Minneapolis has one on the floor as of yesterday.

Played the LE all this week at a local collector. What a beautiful game. Much faster game play then I imagined. Scoring averaged in the 150 million range. No issues and the color palette is spot on perfect on the LE.

#5961 2 years ago

What’s the street price with shipping for the pros these days, did they raise prices?

How was the upper playfield? Have you also played a pro so to compare the two? And how was the magnet feature for Grogu?

Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Both played really well granted I have an LE coming this week so I may be biased. Personally I felt the Pro had little value on the upper while the LE upper was rather challenging. A fun test of skill in a way. The Grogu magnet seemed at this point rather useless and random but maybe that’s a code issue.

#5964 2 years ago

Ordered myself a dust cover for the glass on the Mandalorian pin.

At least Cara Dune is on that!

Hope to get my premium soon.

Considering powder coat for my Pro... orange or Beskar silver? I’m afraid orange will be a bit much. If anyone has pics of a powdered pro let’s see them!

Ok thanks for the feedback. For me seems the pro is a good option. The premium just doesn’t seem worth the extra money. Congrats on getting an LE!

I would keep it black as is. Silver will not look that good next to orange, nor will the orange against orange. Save your money. Black looks great and I saw the pin in person. Only other color that would look ok would be brown in my opinion, but black for me.

My parts are at the powdercoater. I am going with Illusion Tangerine Twist. I have a premium on order. Hoping it comes in during July. I'll post pics when I get them back.

I went with "orange" as silver is boring to me. Also, premium has less orange on the cabinet than the pro.

Gloss black with faint silver flake.

#5970 2 years ago

People bang on about code... had a good go on my LOTR today and what's that. 3 multiballs, 5/6 modes, and wizard mode, mega wizard mode with some bits and bobs along the way. But... it has that x factor with the theme integration which makes awesome.

Mando has enough to do in my opinion, but also hope it has that special something.

Funny you say that, I was just looking at a gloss black called city lights that has a small orange flake in it. I think that might be the one.

More flake than I like, but it looks sharp!

#5973 2 years ago

I am not a fan of black powdercoating, BUT, if I were to go with black, I would get the Stern side rails and get powder to match the black on those.

Has anyone come up with a mod/solution/fix/adjustment for the ball getting onto the Playfield on the pro model? The ball sometimes weakly comes out of the diverter and doesn’t make it to the flipper and same with a weak right orbit shot and into the mini Playfield. Thanks

I nudge it up as it come down the rubber to bounce it to my flipper.

I have played 3 different pros now and have a premium on order. Love the game but so glad I went premium. The spot where the 2 clear plastic ramps cross is so difficult to see through and I think it is a huge mistake they didn’t put wire form returns on all the models.

I think you did well to go with pro; I always go premium because I don’t like losing features, but the wireform plus upper pf difference is a no brainier. That and I think the cabinet art sucks on the pro, Grogu just doesn’t look right. I firmly believe Disney nailed the math/golden-ratio and everything needs to be spot on for The Child to look all cute and correct; anything else is immediate uncanny valley. Most toys don’t nail his look even, and the pro definitely does not.

I got it setup but it’s late and time for me to get some sleep.
I’ll level and play it in the morning. I’m very grateful and happy to have added it to my collection.

has anyone tried any flipper codes?

20 20 1 ->?
7 1 4 -> Dwight Special
4 5 1 -> Deadflip
4 4 4 -> ?
3 3 3 -> Hello World
1 2 3 -> Credits
8 4 7 -> Serial number

if anyone has spare time and a mandalorian to hand, maybe they could test this out?
i think these will work, but have no mandalorian to test.
B= both, L=Left, R=Right
1 2 3 converts to BLRLLRLLLRR
the number is the left clicks, sessionn starts in attract mode with B=Both, each number closes with R=right and the last one with an additional R

It looks like the mini playfield on the pro is just part of the regular played and not a mini or upper type like the premium. Not sure if this has been answered, and I dont have one near me to check out.

Question on current production Stern pins. Mando will be my first Stern. Are they using fiber board on cabs anymore? Pics here seem to show even the Mando Pro has a plywood bottom. When did Stern start doing that? It seems GB has an MDF bottom (2016)...

Last 3 years or so.

#17 on the top 100! Haha. I know it's probably not a real possibility but I don't think reviews should count unless there are comments attached. I enjoy reading people's individual reactions to the game and feel like just throwing up a number by itself is akin to all those Human Resources surveys that I blast through without thinking

That's actually pretty good for a Stern Pro version. I expressed here that I thought Mando Premium/LE would be an 8.6 rating machine.

#5996 2 years ago

I’d be shocked if the LE didn’t start in the top 5-7 and then settle around 13-15.

Well the Pro always gets ratings like, “great game, lots of fun: 6.8”. The LE just gets a 10 from every owner.

The top 100 is meaningless, especially with how great the art, sound, lights, and theme are now.

8.6 would be 15th currently, so I agree.

Anyone with an LE not ship yet? If the rumors of premiums going on the line last week I wonder if those will start shipping this week or next…
