Quoted from chuckwurt:Thus is the way wizard mode is the end.
Is that really it?
I mean it's like there is no story or goal here. I imagined the missions and such would lead to the same end as the show would.. Deliver Grogu to Luke, and there would be a big pay-off, sounds, light show, clip... etc.
After watching hours of streams it appeared to be a hodge-podge of missions that don't really advance a story towards an end. If a wizard mode IS the big payoff then that's pretty disappointing.
The game is beautiful, and looks fun to shoot, but if you're just chopping wood just to reach a wizard mode it's a serious let down for me.

I played a few games of The Mandalorian Pro on location. It is a flowy shooter, it is easy to see that expert scores will be in the billions. I know Dwight said on the Premium stream that the goal was 100,000,000 is a good game but players will blow that up for sure.
Things I noticed that were issues (however minor some are )...
1. When holding the flippers for game diagnostics, one screen states "Launchs the ball" instead of "Launches the ball".
2. On the Mando Pro, game directions on the LCD still state "shoot the right scoop", even though there is no right scoop on the Pro.
3. During multi-ball, the balls clogged up the mech to the player's left of the Grogu doll and the ball search could not free them.
I do not know what code version was on the machine I played. It was at The Double Bull in Peabody, Massachusetts. My kids, 6 and 7, loved it and are looking forward to our Mando coming in soon to our home. I think the LCD made a big impression on them liking it.
One aside, The Double Bull has currently 10 machines, Led Zep, AIQ, TMNT, STh, Mando Pro, Stern Star Wars, BM66, Iron Maiden, Stern NBA and a nice AFM with ColorDMD that I have seen at another local location in the past I think. We really enjoyed Stern NBA, first time I ever played it. Wasn't so keen on Led Zep, I think a music pin in a location and not being able to hear the band due to environmental noise lessens the experience maybe.
The one at Double Bull is running current code.

Left orbit trail. When a ball returns it seems to hit the tip of the left flipper 50% and straight down the middle 50%
Anyone have a suggestion on adjustment? Fast the ball moves the more likely to go straight down the middle

Sounds like its leaning right?
Have no issues with orbit returns here. (Level and set at about 6.7 or 6.8 degrees). The only one that is risky is the u turn return as it tends to bounce off the side rail at various energy levels.
Quoted from WeLovePinball:It's a pity to hear that, because I still have a special stream for you. The pinball world champion Johannes Ostermeier vs. The Mandalorian & Grogu!
The company KMS Handels GmbH, the exclusive Stern Pinball importer for Germany, presents together with WeLovePinball the newest Cornerstone Pinball from Stern Pinball "The Mandalorian" in the Pro Version.
It starts already on Friday from 7pm. However, this is only a discussion and Q&A session.
Live play is already on Saturday from 14 o'clock. Here I have the great pleasure to welcome the reigning pinball world champion Johannes Ostermeier as special guest. I am sure that he will be able to push the pinball to the limit and provide you with great gameplay scenes. After the gameplay stream we will also do a Q&A stream for an hour where you can ask us about the pinball and we will draw our conclusion. Sunday morning there will be a small mini-gameplay stream for all those who don't want to miss the European Championship games.
We are looking forward to you and the Mandalorian and we also have some giveaways, which we will raffle to the viewers.
If you don't have time on that date, that's no problem either. I will upload several videos (including a deep-view video) on my Youtube channel.
If you are thinking about buying the pinball machine and have questions about it, which we should answer in the stream, you can send them to me via PN.
So.... check out the German premiere of Stern Pinball´s The Mandalorian with the pinball world champion vs. The Mandalorian & Grogu!
See ya
Simon

So today is the day.
7 hours till high noon.
The Razor Crest has crash landed in the desert wasteland known as Utah. Mando is now holding court inside Kiito's Brewing in Salt Lake City. As a child of the 80's I liked the meme floating around online so much I decided to do a custom translite based on it to get Cara and IG in on the action.
20210618_102039 (resized).jpg20210618_222409 (resized).jpgwatching streams, i still feel this is/will be a good game, my only complain (as lots of others) is that center ramp shot to go for multiball seems way to easy as it, really needs more spice in there
I have to say that after seeing the latest premium stream imo the upper playfield is a complete blast with how it can be played. It obviously takes some getting the hang of but it seems once you have it down it really is fun yet still challenging and unique.
Quoted from lash:So today is the day.

Errr should the stream not be now?
Quoted from honkbahh:I've been told the first LEs are for export.
Bloody hope so I’m in New Zealand and have had mine confirmed. I believe we were only allocated one or two for the country. After leaving from Stern it will still take about 5-6 weeks for shipping.
My son and I very excited
I've been fairly critical on most of the newer Stern releases but really had a fun time playing Mando Pro and look forward to the Premium/LE. Can't rember the last time I felt this way playing a new game and to be honest I had very low expectations after the release. I think this will crush on location because I had some decent ball times and newbies will get to start a multiball or two as well as a few modes.
If you guys are looking for another pro stream to watch feel free to check this out. I actually had Dwight on audio as well so he was answering questions throughout the entire stream!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Six months from now:
“Why are there so many Mandos for sale?!”
As much as the “experts” hate on how companies do releases… can’t deny this game is getting dropped into nearly every location and fast. They are crushing it in terms of getting it to the field.

Seems like every single location on my Facebook feed got a mando this week.

Nobody near me has one...☹

Love the Cara addition!

Seems like it happens with every new release. People play under 50 games and then sell. I don’t get it but I will be waiting there with cash when that happens! Lead tome for a pro was October and I figure someone will sell me a used one before then.
Quoted from SNES:Lead tome for a pro was October and I figure someone will sell me a used one before then.
Wow! If you ordered a pro today you are waiting till October to receive it? That’s wild. I’m still optimistic I’ll receive my premium in July but haven’t spoken with my distro recently. I know the chip shortage is delaying everything, which is understandable.

Yeah I got quoted the October run to get a pro. And they were “selling out quickly” but that was probably just a sales technique to get me to throw down the cash. I thought that was crazy for sure so I will be looking for a used one instead

Almost-NIB games will be shaking loose much quicker than October, you can be sure. As soon as the Premiums start showing up you'll likely have a bunch of dealers with pro trade-ins ready to sell.
Quoted from KozMckPinball:, I think a music pin in a location and not being able to hear the band due to environmental noise lessens the experience maybe.
I totally agree. It's a huge part that you totally miss playing on location.

My distro told me July for my premium last week.
Just back from Fort Wayne .The pro was a blast to play .Shit ton of fun ! Me n my kid put a dozen or so each on it .Sniper shot was really exiting .Pirate,Spider n Flamethrower MBs all fun with great light shows .Still want to try a Prem but Mando just jumped to the front of our list for next pin .

Those clear ramps are obviously undesirable for operators. Plus...it just makes the game look cheap. Stern fanboys go ahead and downvote.
Quoted from chuckwurt:How do you figure. All plastic ramps I’ve ever seen stay clear for years if cleaned regularly.
I thought the mini playfield was great after a few times through .It will be interesting seeing how the Prem plays.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:The game would be going on location dawg...I’m not trying to go in there everyday to novus that shit. Those clear ramps are obviously undesirable for operators.
Funny I know lots of operators that have never had issues with their plastic ramps on location. A quick wipe down once a month while you wipe down everything else should be all it needs.
Yeah, I do it all the time homie. These ramps cross over eachother and the game is just full of clear plastic. It just creates unnecessary work. I just think Stern should have put the habitrails on the pro instead of being cheap.

Quoted from Enron64:My distro told me July for my premium last week.
I was told Premiums hit the line June 28th and as I am locked into the first run of premiums I should be getting mine in July. That sounds great to me, but many others have been told October so Im guessing they didnt make it to the first line of premiums.

The owner often gets a Pro while waiting for the LE, then sells the Pro. So keep an eye on the Facebook postings.

Yeah I was actually surprised to hear July as I was late to the pre order and when I first tried it was sold out for the the first wave, but then it changed so either the distro got some more allocated or some people canceled.
My dist. told me there was going to be 4 separate runs: Pro's, PRE/LE, and an October misc run, the 4th run would be 2022
Quoted from Txcoastal1:My dist. told me there was going to be 4 separate runs: Pro's, PRE/LE, and an October misc run, the 4th run would be 2022
I've also heard this. They are using up what parts they have thus the 2022 date you were given.
And we wonder why LE’s are selling out instantly…..at least you get the game within a few weeks of ordering.
A location down south of me is getting their LE next week so must have gotten in on the first prem/le run. Can't wait to give it a whirl.
Quoted from Txcoastal1:My dist. told me there was going to be 4 separate runs: Pro's, PRE/LE, and an October misc run, the 4th run would be 2022
They are going to run premium and LEs simultaneously? That would be great for us premium buyers.
Quoted from Txcoastal1:My dist. told me there was going to be 4 separate runs: Pro's, PRE/LE, and an October misc run, the 4th run would be 2022
Oh wow! I am glad I got in on the premium run when I did then. I normally wouldn’t go in on a pre order but looks like it was a good choice this time around.
Quoted from TigerLaw:They are going to run premium and LEs simultaneously? That would be great for us premium buyers.
I wouldn't put them in a specific order, and I'm sure one would be fore the other for efficiency
He said these runs were weird comparatively, and I'm sure it's due to part shortages.
I've been waiting on a couple new laptop builds since February, as well as CCTV cameras for my projects. IMHO All electronics are hit miss due to parts.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Funny I know lots of operators that have never had issues with their plastic ramps on location.
I can shoot you some pics of my plastic ramps via email if you want. If it's an option (like on this one) I'd always go with metal. Some games like TWD I don't have any issues. Other games like GOTG and Elvira they break apart and most games have some stress fractures. Not sure if its because of thickness, design, ball speed or some combination of the three.
I've collected plenty of routed pins in the past where I had to take 2000 Grit wet sandpaper and then flame polish ramps. Normal haziness due to ball trails can usually be fixed. It was the deeper gouges that were tough. Not to mention broken side entries where balls hit.
I don't mind plastic ramps, but they take a beating on location. New plastic ramps for home use are fine.
My concern with Mandalorian is that the ramps already obstruct the view to the entry of the right ramp as well as the blue inserts. Once they get some ball trails and haziness, I would imagine this problem would get worse.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Six months from now:

That’s actually about when the premiums are going to start shipping.

Yea, plastic ramps on the sides are no biggie but these cross in the middle and really obscure the right ramp and ambush areas, even when clean. Surprised the two little wireforms really cost that much more than the molded plastic that they'd use plastic on the pro.
Exactly this, thank you sir

Maybe it’s incentive to get a potential buyer to opt for the premium. It was a large reason I went premium myself.
The other problem I had with the plastic is that the Boba Fett lights shine/reflect on there and it gives the illusion of a lit shot in that already obscured area of the right ramp.
I’m sure this has been discussed, but it looks like the upper playfield is significantly more challenging on the premium vs the pro watching the Deadflip stream.
Maybe there’s some trick to it, but Jack wasn’t getting very deep on the bonus section at all in comparison.
Quoted from TigerLaw:They are going to run premium and LEs simultaneously? That would be great for us premium buyers.
in past i believe they do all the LE in one shot then move on. Then again theres an extra 250 here so who knows. I tried so hard to get LE, settled on first premium run. Should have Mando premium and Iron Maiden pro coming in same delivery. good day!
