I don’t personally use those but the logic behind them is solid.
The issue I have seen is they should really be larger to serve the purpose. Often the coin eject button just slips past them and indents the cabinet right beside it.
That being the case what I prefer is to bundle the harness up and anchor in a strain relief manner as a way to insure it won’t open that far.
