Is it me, or is this going really high given the condition? Check out picture 6 and enlarge it, looks like there is mold everywhere and the inserts are pretty beat. No to mention, the DMD has lines going through it...

Ugh, thilthy, but still it's a reasonable price for a machine that regularly goes for around $4000 to $4500 cleaned up.
Its way too much, but someone elected to place that bid. Maybe Ebay fees ARE worth it, if I can get and extra $1-2000 per sale on my pins.
Quoted from Honch:Ebay is why good deals are getting harder to find.
I actually find about 95% of Ebay pricing to be quite laughable.
Lower quality products than most of the games we trade among ourselves for $$$$ more.
I pretty much only buy from "pin" (pynball, RGP, here) sites or at worst something local that I can see
That thing is fugly. I just cant believe that its had 23 bids to this point.

Theres a whole lotta truth in them there words TG.
I wouldnt pay $1500 for that - just imagine the underside corrosion if thats how the playfield looks

So do I. It just seems that more and more people are listing their pins at or near Ebay prices. Which in most cases is unrealistic.

1500 for a TAF, I'll take those all day long, corrosion or not especially if it plays. A tumbler can work wonders and what doesn't come clean I'd just swap it out.

Yeh I probably would pay that - but not thru ebay, I'd have to see whats what - cant tumble the boards
That's **mould** noooooooo thank you.
I cleaned two mouldy machines that were no where near that bad. Unless you have done it, you have no idea how hard it is to clean a mouldy cab and to get the smell out. Never again.
Quoted from Atomicboy:That's **mould** noooooooo thank you.
I've never actually came across a mouldy pin before. But now that you mention it that does look alot like mould.
Quoted from mkgort:How much neglect does a pin need before mold grows, sheesh. []
That's what I was just thinking.I've seen games stored in moist basements that didn't have that problem. It's amazing how poorly a pin can be maintained and people still think they've taken good care of it.
I've been there and done that on a moldy rusty stargate - nope, will never do it again its a nightmare.
The amount of what looks to be dried up wax in the inserts is a sign that I would not buy that game. I think that is what all that white crap is? If you look at the inserts there is a fair amount of it along the edges. Take the final price and add on the price to tear it down and have the playfield fixed and cleared. Way to high.
