Saw this on craigslist, thought I would give you guys first dibs on it.

    delaware.craigslist.org link

It says right in the ad that it's WELL WORTH IT.

I personally don't have a pinball for sale but I do have a bobby pin in our kitchen drawer I'm willing to negotiate on.

The bobby pin is pickup only.

    #2 2 years ago

I've had some inquiries on the bobby pin already so here's a picture.

    I'm asking 12 cents. Negotiable.

    PICKUP ONLY

For some reason this ad put a shit eating grin on my face....whatever that is.

    #4 2 years ago

Well, you're only 2.5 hours away from the pinball.

    WELL WORTH IT.

I should claim a commission from the guy when it sells.

    #5 2 years ago

    Thank you for this.

    #6 2 years ago

Heck, at least that's a nice looking ball. I saw an ad a couple years back for a few rusty "antique" ones for $5.

    #7 2 years ago

Can we not arrange for shipping on this!? NAVL??

    Seems like a nice ball-

    Loved this. Thanks

    #8 2 years ago

I thought you meant a full machine, but no. Literally, a pinball!

    #9 2 years ago

this reminds me of the guy who was selling used #44 bulbs and vintage fuses on ebay awhile back...

    #10 2 years ago

Possibly this game I heard of where you sell something relatively small for a fraction more than you paid for it. Then buy something bigger/ better with the money you made and sell that for a fraction more, and so on and so on. I guess the winner is whoever has the most money after a certain amount of time.

    #11 2 years ago

I called requesting more info on said pinball. A guy named buffulo bill answered and told me he'd trade me straight across for some dog chow and a bottle of lotion...

    #12 2 years ago

I wouldn't touch it without seeing photos of the other side.

    #13 2 years ago

Sorry fellas, this is a $1.25 pinball...OP is reaching

    #15 2 years ago

I'm starting the car right now...

    Quoted from Crispin:

I'm starting the car right now...

Not if I get there first.

    #17 2 years ago

I was on may way to get it but he called me back and said deal was off because someone else called after me and offered him $2.50.

    #18 2 years ago

    Better value than Magic Girl.

I've had some inquiries on the bobby pin already so here's a picture.

Hmmm. Is this bobby pin HUO? Looks like it has some wear.

    #20 2 years ago

I'm interested but I need a picture of it in a shooter lane.
Also is this one if the older balls that didn't cause dimples?

    PICKUP ONLY

Please post a pic of the bobby pin next to a ruler so we can verify if it is a North American or European standard type.

    #22 2 years ago

Wish I was closer. If someone new is planning to start making these pinballs, I'd like to pre-order .

    #23 2 years ago

    No shipping kills the deal

    #24 2 years ago

There has been a ton of inquiries on my bobby pin.

Please be aware that it is a left handed pin. Righties will NOT be able to use this pin.

I'm taking pre-orders on a new run of bobby pins. Will contract with a European company to start production around 2021.

Can't help you with the pinball. That's between you and the guy in Delaware.

I already have a pinball or I would go get it.

    #25 2 years ago
    Quoted from TKDalumni:

    No shipping kills the deal

But then you're stuck using a big marble or dried wad of play-doh in your machine.

It's really fun to use a real vintage pinball in your machine.

Go for it, it's worth the drive.

I get nothing out of this deal, I already have a pinball to use in my games.

I'm just trying to help my fellow pinsiders get the most out of their hobby.

Let's keep these old machines alive by using a real pinball.

    #26 2 years ago

Why didn't you take pics of the other side of the bobby pin? What are you hiding?

    #27 2 years ago

PM sent for 5, what's your best price with shipping? Have safety pins for trade!

    #28 2 years ago
    Quoted from RTR:

Why didn't you take pics of the other side of the bobby pin? What are you hiding?

    Okay, fine.

Here's the other side. It has some areas of deterioration to the varnish and some normal atmospheric corrosion.

Very normal wear and tear. Home use only, the guy who had it before my said he had it for ten years.

You can have it refinished REAL EASY.

I would get it refinished myself and sell it for three times as much, but I figured I would be a pal and let one of you guys walk away with the savings.

I know this is off topic but does anyone have a bacon stretcher for sale?

No but I found a picture on the internet.

Hey! At least he clearly proves it is the exact size with that precision measuring device it is set randomly by!

I have an extra huo cue ball; wonder if he takes trades (+/- cash of course)

    #32 2 years ago
    Quoted from Travish:

No but I found a picture on the internet.

Ya...but what's the other side look like?

    #33 2 years ago

If it is HUO, then it is a really good deal. Wish I were closer.

    #34 2 years ago

I'm looking to get in ahead of everyone else and have already pre-booked my flight from the UK to pick up the pinball and the bobby pin, however we don't use the acronym HUO, so I've no idea what it means.

I hope I'm not wasting my flight and it stands for "Hopelessly Useless Object"?

    It certainly can

    #36 2 years ago

    $10k by Xmas!

    #37 2 years ago

Just in case the ad disappears. Notice the phone number...maybe all us Pinsiders should give him a call.

    IMG_0229 (resized).PNG

    #38 2 years ago

    HUO = home use only

I do accept doubloons and pieces o' eight from the seafaring nations

    #39 2 years ago

I see in the ad that it's for all standard pinball machines.

That means Bally Truck Stop owners are SOL

    Quoted from irobot:

I'm afraid I don't have doubloons. Would a bailing bucket off of the Titanic do? It's barely used.

    #41 2 years ago

    WAIT!!!!!

I've zoomed in on the photo..... I'm sure the chap in the reflection is wearing bobby pin!

irobot, is there something you're not telling us?

    #42 2 years ago

    Huo=hardly used once
Will only take Bobby pin If it has been recently shopped and collectors quality and pin #1 as it is rare only one bazillion made

    #43 2 years ago

Took a picture of the bobby pin next to a ruler for approximate scale.

    #44 2 years ago
    Quoted from irobot:

Took a picture of the bobby pin next to a ruler for approximate scale.

Could we have that photo with a coin in it for scale so we know the scale is to scale?

    #45 2 years ago

This is a "players" bobby pin.

If you're looking for a collector grade pin, look elsewhere.

I don't want to over-sell the pin, I'd rather it goes to someone who will cherish it the way I did.

    UPDATE -

I have a pack of playing cards with the king of spades missing that I'm willing to part with.

The rest of the cards are 100% perfecto. Well, the 2 of clubs is bent in half and shows a crease.

    WELL WORTH IT.

    PICK UP ONLY!

    #46 2 years ago
    Quoted from Muppet_Man:

Could we have that photo with a coin in it for scale so we know the scale is to scale?

Ya! But we also need to see with a metric coin!

    #47 2 years ago

    Coin added as requested.

    dfdfdsfs (resized).png

    #48 2 years ago
    Quoted from irobot:

    Coin added as requested.

Seeing how old that coin is makes me believe that the measure is of similar age and was thus used for measuring Bushels, which makes that bobby pin 17 inches long (or 43.18cm) by todays standards.

    #49 2 years ago

Bobby pin looks to have minimal wear for a pin it's age. Wish I lived closer.

There is a local guy here who sells used 44 bulbs. People buy them too....
