They just want someone to make an offer, they are worried if they let people bid that it will go less than what they are asking and at the same time they are hoping someone throws them a crazy offer that is above what they want.

From what I've heard, people post a ridiculously high price on their item so it could never sell. This way, they get a lot of publicity on the item but won't have to pay eBay cause it will never sell there. They just close the deal in private from one of the inquiries they get.

But don't you have to pay a reserve fee, especially on such a high reserve.

Maybe, don't know cause I've never sold anything there. Just repeating what I heard. Even if you do pay a reserve fee, as long as it's nothing too high, it would be like paying for an advertisement.

It can but my attitude towards people who post high price auctions and Craigslist ads isn't the greatest so I wasn't sure if I wanted my answer posted publicly.

I always thought CP was an excellent game worth a lot of money. First one I ever saw & played was in COuNcil Bluffs, Iowa.
