My wife and I used to be anti-Apple, but phones and laptops would break or need to be replaced too often. Software worked better on PC but that's about it.

We switched to Apple nearly 8 years ago and we had the same exact devices that entire time and only until recently did I get new ones (I dunked my iwatch in water one too many times, dropped my phone and it finally cracked, etc). The hardware is made better in my experiences and therefore it lasts longer.

Apple used to be easier to use in the 90s and early 2000s and that's how they cracked their way into the industry, but I'm learning now-a-days that PC-related products are easier to use. I wouldn't mind switching back next time. The prices of Apple are out of control, and if durability is about the same then there's no reason for me to stick with Apple anymore.
