For a little winter project, populated a bare WPC-95 Driver Board. Bare board from Mr P (Aus), components from Great Plains Electronics and what Ed didn't have from Mouser.
Cost is equivalent to buying a repro but with through hole design, choice of component manufacturer, choice of headers and sockets.
I think that this dose of soldering is going to last me for a while.
