I am amazed at your passion and craftsmanship. This is the type of thing you do for the love of the journey. Thanks for sharing.
This is very cool. I've thought for a while that someone could make a decent amount of money by putting all of the MM parts together in a kit form, reproing the wire harness, and then selling it as a 'kit' for like $4000 or whatever. I've thought about undertaking this exact same project just for fun in the past, but the parts that aren't obtainable and my lack of desire for wanting to pay market rate even five years ago for a MM to compare it to always stopped me.
Kudos!
I could repeat every praise you have got so far, Wally. But this post "came from heaven" for me, because you have actually done everything I am just right planning. Pls take a look my post, search "PasiFin" so you´ll find my post. Great to notice I´m not the only one.. and you courage me to really go forward with my project. I didn´t know about your project exists - I was searching forums "cabinet wpc-95" because I need exact dimensions for that playfield.
I have overhead projector, and I printed MM layout(manual from ipbd) on transparent film, so that I can project that layout on birch plywood to draw everything. The rest is just coloring.
I just need those dimensions so that my PF will be exact same size than original.. could you please help me with that?!
I just heard your interview with Charlie on the recent Spooky Podcast, what a great effort and a amazing story. Congrats
Wally,
Dan from lunch the other day from Elgin when I ran into you and Dino. Just wanted to drop a line and say hello.
Thanks,
Dan
