I have been looking for pinball to buy for a few months now, I can't believe my eyes when I see terminator 2 3800$, Addams Family 7000$, a fake special eddition of Bram stocker Dracula 4500$, some 80's and even 70's pin over 2000$ ... And I'm not even talking about Twilight Zone, Medieval Madness and Attack from Mars! I think most of us are able to restore and take care of our pins, why would I spent twice the price because there is a figurine inside and there is no scratch. Scratches are easy to repair.

    Quoted from hank527:

Have you ever torn a play field completely down and clear coated it?
I'm with you on the prices though a Clear Coated CQ game with a Clear Coated PF is going to easily add $2K to the price. If you do it your self it is probably a good 100 labor hours plus having a professional clear the PF.

I know clear coating a playfield is a LOT a work but the time we put in these machine is for us, it's a pastime. If we ask everybody, would you pay 2000 to get your pin clear coated, I'm not sure we would get many positive answers. I would clear coat my pin if I were to keep it. Take cars for exemple, you will never be able to have the full value of the equipment you put in it if you sell it. I feel that some guys put 2 or 3 toys worth 30-40$ each and sell the pin 800$ more.
