I see you guys posting about wasting money on new balls in your shop jobs. Those things are a rip off at $2 a piece! Anyone replacing them is an absolute fool!

Looks at this ball! 45 years of use and still going strong!!

And look at the playfield scratched and destroyed from the rust.

They don't build em like they used too.

Why use balls? Just throw a few rocks in there.

The rust pits in that ball will hold on to a lot more wax. Self-lubricating.

I’ll check them every 300-500 games depending on the game.
Is $6-30 per game really that big of a deal?

It’s right next to the Lollipop bridge, just off the Hershey Highway.

Probably once a year, or when they look trashed. Most games don’t get enough heavy play to justify it sooner. Do a light shop every 6 months and a deep cleaning every 2 years.

I seem to remember reading here somewhere a while back about someone who had a small tumbler or polisher and he would just rejuvenate his balls after so many plays.

My balls always feel rejuvenated after I play with them!

Yeah you can make a little hallowed out piece of wood to hold the ball and put them on a buffing wheel.
