throwing a massive shout out to Kimball's pinball in Dallas Tx area. A local friend told me about the "professional trunk repair/restoration dude in Texas". So after finding him, I sent him my trunk guts (gears/motors, etc) and for a reasonable fee and short turn around he sent me back my trunk seemingly better than new, nearly silent trunk! If your trunk is intermittent or loud, or slow, do yourself a favor, remove it and send it to Kimball pinball. Putting it back in is a bit more difficult and involved than removing- posts exist here for both.
