Wanted to share some pics of a recent full restoration I did on a TOM. As we all know, nobody expect for pinheads appreciates this stuff (especially my wife and kids) so thanks for letting me share. I started in the hobby last August and was drug into restoration after getting a Fish Tales that was much worse off then I expected...imagine that. Other than a lot of patience, pictures and trial and error I really don't know what I'm doing and want to thank so many of you on this site that helped me throughout the entire process... especially Chris at High_End_Pins I had the pleasure of working with Chris on a #WH2O that he restored for me recently. I think you have to go through one of these to truly appreciate how good he is at what he does...a true pro and hell of a good guy. Anyhow, going to break down some pics in a few separate posts.

Decided to nickel or chrome plate most of the metal under the play field. Hey, why not, right?

Absolutely gorgeous! Not usually a fan of colors in the GI but yours looks really sharp. Would love to try something similar in mine.

You wouldn't happen to have a map of the colors you used and make of them? If you just eyeballed it then no worries, even the make and color of the bulbs would be super helpful. Cheers!

Looks incredible!

What was done to the playfield?

Thank you GorillaBiscuits Appreciate that. I will definitely post the exact bulbs I used for the GI.

I replaced the original with a Mirco playfield. Thanks for the compliment.

Wow!
That's straight up pinball porn.
Makes the restoration I did on my ToM a few years ago look like a spit shine.
Awesome work.

OP is a great guy and got bit HARD by the pinball bug. I think he set a record on advancing through the stages of pinball collecting. Haha!

I played the Fish Tales he restored and it made me fall in love with that game. He tells me the TOM is exponentially better that the FT. I can't wait to see it in person. Great job!
