Quoted from nibre:

I would really appreciate if somebody could post a list/scheme/overview for suitable leds (type and color) for all the TOM lamps (playfield, flashers, backbox,...).

Send me your e-mail-adress ...

Quoted from Damien:

What's the install like on the 3 parts?
Also, can anyone point me to where I can order a non-breakable trunk?

Quoted from Videogod:

The Eddy boards and the Leon Trunk board are two different things. The Eddy board (for the magnets) is a piece of cake to install; the Leon board is more complicated so you'll have to search this thread for instructions once you buy it.
Here's a link to a great trunk. None of them are unbreakable, but it should last a long time. Search this thread for ways to reinforce it.

The installation of the "Leon"-Board is VERY easy and only takes 2 minutes

Quoted from Damien:

So I've replaced some fuses and have the GI on the left side of the playfield back online. Right still out.
In tests, Illumination String 5 isn't going on.
Not sure if JI21 is the culprit, but here's a photo.
Any suggestions?

Quoted from Damien:

Update on last post. Cleaned fuse connectors a bit and now all lights are on.
New problem... The ball trough eject isn't working. Not putting balls in the game.
Also, the basement door in not opening.
Are they related? Any suggestions?

Really???

Normally it should not work!!!

On your female connector J120, there are 2 sections missing, You show a 9-Pin-Connector, obviously 2 have burnt and flow away. It is a 11-Pin-Connector.

Your white/violett wire should go to Pin 11.
Your white/yellow wire should go to Pin 9.
Your white/green wire should go to Pin 10, but where is your white/&green wire???

Quoted from meSz:

GP, Look at his previous pics and you can see the white/green wire is there just that the previous owner cut the connector and now has it setup as two separate connectors, a 9 pin and a 2 pin that make up the 11

Quoted from Damien:

Yeah, thanks for chiming in about that. I'm going to have the pin replaced on the board by a local tech, and then I'll consolidate that 9 pin connector to the proper 11 pin.
Classic example of making lemonade out of lemons here. I did not expect all these issues when trading for this machine, but it is what it is. Instead of bitching about it, I'm going to use it as an opportunity to learn more about pinball machines. It might take me a while, and I'll probably annoy most of you with all my questions, but I'll definitely walk away from this seeing it as a good experience

Oops, I did not see the previous pictures.

But nethertheless his wires are not at the correct places. This way the individual GI-strings get "mixed".

Your local tech should connect the wires the correct way:

white/yellow wire should go to Pin 9
white/green wire should go to Pin 10
white/violett wire should go to Pin 11

Quoted from nickbuol:

Voltage resistor help needed please.
So I am working on a DIY magic wand mod. I know where I want to connect it, and I have the specs on the LED I want to use to light it, but I need some sort of resistor so that I don't blow the LED.
I basically want to connect to the flasher bulb under the yellow dome by, you guessed it, the Hocus Pocus. Not talking about the lightening bolt on the playfield, but under the yellow dome on the plastic piece on the left of the playfield.
Here are the specs of the LED that I would like to use:
Forward voltage(V): 3.2-3.4
Current(mA): 20
Does anyone know what kind of resistor I need. I believe that the flashers are 13 volt (or is that 12 volt?). I already have LEDs throughout, but am wanting to just tie right in to this flasher socket under the playfield and drive both the regular flasher bulb AND the LED mentioned above for the tip of the magician's wand.
I'm trying to do the math, but am getting stumped.
13V - 3.3V = 9.7v
9.7v/20mA = 9.7v/0.020A = 485 ohms. Is that right? Would I be better off just getting another LED flasher bulb and tearing it apart so that it fits inside the wand and use that to tap into the 13V socket?
I used an online calculator and it came up with the resistor in the image below...
Any help would be great.

If this is really 12V instead of 13V, then it would be a different resistor (470 ohm 1/2 watt).

The flasher voltage is 20V, so you need a resistor of 1K with at least 1W.
