I think we could all save some money and get a GWJ pinball for $10K or not.

    Quoted from gonzo73:

    Oh by the way..
223 K new jobs created in the new report
We hit a 54 year Record LOW in Unemployment.
We got a Hot economy that's why inflation.
People keep buying Everything, that's why prices are up.
    Consumer driven inflation.
Good luck to all those Recession Chicken Littles screaming about the Horrible Economy.

Keep telling yourself that is why there is inflation.

Nor do I believe the economy is horrible, it's not. But I can tell you that those who are hurting, are hurting worse than ever.

As far as record low unemployment, yep, especially when they do not report the record highs of people sucking on the government tit.

    Quoted from gonzo73:

    Angry are we ??

    Nope, just realistic.

Problem is the newer generations do not want to work, and when they do, they want to be paid handsomely for having no skills or critical thinking capabilities. As we keep paying people upwards of $20 dollars and hour to push a button with a picture of a Big Mac, consumer prices have to rise with it. A huge part of inflation. Now throw in higher rent, food, gas and utility costs and you have a genuine inflation crisis. This is governmentally created and caused by insane policies and restrictions within our own borders. Those who hurt are suffering.

On the other hand, you still have the disposable incomes buying $20K pinball machines. Sorry, that is just as stupid.

    Quoted from gonzo73:

    We're going to do alright.

Not until we bring manufacturing back home on our soil and our next generations wake up and realize the trades are where it's at. Not a piece of paper from some overpriced university that puts you 20 years into debt so one can party.

    Quoted from cottonm4:

The off-shoring of jobs was getting started in 80s. One of my college professors said that we cannot make a living selling hamburgers to each other. And here we are 40 years later selling hamburgers to each other.

Absolutely, he was correct. We grew our work forces by building big box stores, gas stations, dunkin donuts and fast food on every street corner. 10's of thousands entry level jobs that have become the "new middle class" source of income. Quite frankly, it's pathetic and sad.
