Ooh! Another chance to post the pics of my NOS PF by Kruzman!

Quoted from Doot77:You need to quit posting those PF pics, everytime I see them I feel a little inadequate. That thing is beautiful!
Hopefully next year I can actually get it swapped into the game!
I was lucky enough to find one with a pristine cabinet. The red is faded a little but physically it is unblemished. Can't wait to get it up to CQ.
Quoted from Number41:Has anyone upgraded the speakers in their Tommy? I was considering looking into a Pinball Pro or Flipper Fidelity speakers/sub set and I'm curious how dramatic the difference is with the stock sounds and music.
Put the money towards a pinsound board. The stock speakers spring to life when they are driven properly.
I have to ask about the sling plastics. The background colour on mine is orange. It exactly matches the orange background on the inlane ball guides. The Marco repros are red, and so whenever I see red sling plastics I think repro. I think Arts are original but they look red in the photos. And the story above about the lightly played NIB has red looking background on the sling plastics as well. Was there colour variation on the originals?
Quoted from Number41:It's odd that the Marco pictures have different numbers at the bottom too.
Yeah they've messed those repros up pretty badly. Don't know how they would get the numbers wrong, lol. Unless it was deliberate to avoid some sort of licensing issue. Who knows??
Quoted from mulder2010:That is sweet! Does the board come with the songs pre installed, or is there any downloading work to be done?
You have to download them, but someone has already made up the package and it is in the community.
Quoted from LOTR_breath:Cabinet wear by the flipper buttons is extremely common.
You know, I can't count how many visitors (non pinheads) to my basement have told me that the wear around the flipper buttons on my Tommy looks cool. Of all the things they could notice about all my machines I swear that has been mentioned the most. I am not going to ever "fix" it. It must ooze authenticity or something. I found it very interesting. Pinheads never mention it, and I never thought anything of it, but it stands out to normal people.
Quoted from BigLebowski:The prices for that stuff are getting more and more ridiculous.....
And they will probably be out of stock in two weeks.
Quoted from tomh52722:Hello fellow Tommy owners. I wanted to get some advice about an area that my ball gets stuck in every once in a while (see attached picture). It's not a huge deal, but it always seems to happen in multiball and tends to ruin that game. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks
Bend the tab holding the plastic away from the wireform a bit?
Edit - Although, looking closer, it seems to be resting right on the wireform that comes out to the mounting screw. Terribly unlucky balancing act.
Quoted from gjm:Here ares some pictures of my "TOMMY" with an alternative backglass. It is a real backglass, not a translite. That, with my pinsound card with the real "WHO" singing makes this pin a long time keeper.
That is superb.
Quoted from kilmarnock1350:Anybody using pinsound? Anyone have alternate file versions to share? I'm going to play with mine. Ability to tweak the sounds and add our own flavor is awesome.
I'll share mine once I sit down and play with it. Faster Who songs probably suit action packed pinball better. Tough to merge, creativity is s great talent of which I'm limited.
Yes, and I took my version straight from the community board. It is fantastic.
Here's my silver ball target solution. It's so crazy it might just work.

Big chunk of super high density foam inside.

Quoted from Strohz:Way to think outside the box! Does it actually work well with the spoon being hollow?
The switch operates perfectly and all seems ok. Early days though. It’s not spring steel so I expect fatigue problems at some point and possible snapping at the neck. See how we go.
