My daughter and I had zero doubt we would see Morgan to night. We bursted out laughing when he showed up in the very first scene.

I thought for sure we'd see a main character killed off tonight. Thought it would be Glenn. Glad it didn't happen.

So why did Morgan not kill the 2- bad guy Wolves ? Letting bad guy's like that live can't be good in the long run . Case in point was that the same two guys that killed the Red poncho dude ?

yep great last episode. i thought Glenn was a goner. But he saved that idiots ass once again. I woulda just popped him right then and there. Actually 3 main characters all had their close shaves, rick, daryl and glenn.
I think his injury tho might be worse than what it seems.
I was writing this season 5 off, as the most lack lustre of them all, but its come through baby !

"All life is precious." I think he was letting luck decide there fate.. Basically giving them a taste of their own medicine, by putting them in the car and honking the horn to see if any walkers were around and if they where when they woke up they would be in the same situation as the victims of the Wolves trap. However, in the Talking Dead episode after Morgan said something different like he was only honking the horn to see if he needed to be concerned with walkers or anyone in the area.

Yeah, Morgan was batshit crazy last time Rick saw him. He is definitely much more zen now. He reminds me of Denzel Washington's character in Book of Eli.

LOL. I've never fully understood the rules of the Walking Dead universe. It seems like the only way you can be turned is if a walker bites you or you die.

Or drink infected water.. It's sort of weird to me that more people aren't getting sick from exposure. How did this spread in the first place? Just from the commercial for the new series, it seems like it was a flu like epidemic.. what made it stop spreading?

Yeah, I don't understand why drinking infected water would turn you, but having walker blood spray directly into your mouth or nose wouldn't. I'm hoping the new series will provide answers to questions like this.

Remember from the CDC. They are all infected. Its what causes the turn. I wonder if its not so much the bite but severity of infection or that the bite caused death in which thats the point you turn. Again they have chopped off an infected limb in time to stop it. Maybe it was the tourniquet and treatment of wound afterwards that stopped it.

Are you sure that you can get infected by drinking 'infected water'? or is just a fear that you might so people are avoiding it?

Seems to me it requires 1 of 2 options:

1. a direct bite (and not just a nail scratch?) - or
2. you die from other causes and still have your brain functional/intact?

I was referring to the outbreak at the prison. I can't remember what took down the one kid, but then (iirc) infected the drinking water, causing others to get sick, and some of them to turn.

ah, forgot about that - did they cover if it was the water (or spread some other way?)

Seems like after the governor came, they kind of just moved on from that 'outbreak' like it never happened. I wonder if they come back to that - kind of like some are immune. Perhaps it was just a bad strain of a flu virus that some can get easily and others lucky to not get - like an ebola strain. And that is what is actually killing them, and then of course they come back as a zombie.

The whole problem at the prison was the flu, which killed them then they turned.. So drinking infected water gave them the flu, not turned them to zombies, that was the result of death from the flu.

If my memory recalls correctly, the bad water at the prison caused an outbreak of some severe flu like symptoms that were unrelated to this zombie agent everyone is infected with. The problem with the flu was that if left untreated, you could die from the flu's symptoms, then turn into a zombie after death from the flu. I seem to remember some guys making a run to a nearby veterinary clinic for some antibiotics to treat the symptoms, which worked for some of the people who got treated in time.

It's been a long time since I watched the episode, but didn't they say something about not being able to drink from the WW well because of the infected water?

Conflicted emotions on the finale last night.

Reedus said "to bring your tissues" as we were then all expecting a big main character death...

But no-one died in the main cast.

So did they re-write? Re-edit? Maybe changed it up?

I think that was less about turning into a zombie than drinking rotten, nasty well water with dead bodies in it.

Biggest shocker for me was finding out that Morgan (Lennie James) is English! Two of the main characters, Rick and Morgan are both Limes (I can say that because I'm a Lime too). I find it hard to believe that the producers couldn't find two americans to play the parts, think how much they could have saved on voice coaching ....and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has a weird Jersey/English accent too.

That makes sense in regards to the prison outbreak. Thanks for refreshing my memory.

The other one was eating bob. He was infected when they were eating him, but we never got to see if that had an effect on them. It's possible they got clean meat since amputation works.

I noticed it last night IN the episode. I wouldn't have guessed it before, but it was like she was having trouble getting in character last night. Watch the scene where she's talking with Deanna, it just sounded odd..

3. Sexual relations.

Yeah, I noticed it too. She normally does a very good American accent, but she was a bit shaky last night. Andrew Lincoln's accent, on the other hand, has always been just mediocre. Some people are simply better at it than others. I'm always impressed by the people who can pull off such a convincing accent that they can completely fool natives. There have been some shows that I watched for a long time before discovering that one of the actors wasn't American. For example, I had no idea that Yvonne Strahovski from Chuck and Dexter was Australian until I saw her in an interview. I also recently discovered that the actress who plays Alex's girlfriend on Grey's Anatomy is British. I honestly had no fricken clue. Her American accent is 100% dead perfect. I wonder if Americans or Canadians can fake it well enough to fool Brits and Aussies

The best one at this by far is Hugh Laurie. I was blown away the first time I heard him talk in an interview. Really strong British accent, with no hint of it when playing House.

The guy who played Dick Winters in Band of Brothers has a severe accent. When I watched the special features on the dvd and he talked I was very surprised.

Laurie's American accent is so good that he completely fooled Bryan Singer when he auditioned for House.

That's Damian Lewis. I really like him. He was in a great show called "Life" that was unfortunately cancelled after only two seasons. He also stars in Homeland, another excellent show.

They never show Pete dead or being shot, but Rick turns and shoots without hesitation, so we assume he killed Pete. (Hope Abraham got his hand out of the way!) However, Rick was able to show restraint when Carroll asked him to hold on as Pete crashed the meeting, so Rick is not on total auto-pilot.

What if he did fire in to the ground? That would prove he could fit in to the community, showing mercy even while Deanna is yelling "Do it Rick". Also, things would not be weird between Rick and Morgan if that was the case.

Realistically, I don't think the writers would trick us that way, and we need to maintain some plot conflict for next season, so I'm betting Porch Dick is permanently flacid.

Pete is dead. They showed him in the people that were killed part of Talking Dead after the episode.

Great finale after a lackluster season. I liked the pied piper method of getting the zombies back into the trucks.
