Quoted from RonB:Looking forward to a good gameplay vid!
Same
Quoted from HemiOrange09:I changed some of the insert lighting to add color and it turned out sweet, and tried the GI lighting but didn't like adding colors, it was washing out the artwork.
Here's a video of this WD Pro in the attraction mode.
Overall the playfield looks pretty dark IMO...anyone else think so?
Quoted from Captive_Ball:Overall the playfield looks pretty dark IMO...anyone else think so?
Yeah with the colors it actually just don't seem right to me. It looks dark. I played the game yesterday and was thinking this game could use some colors. After playing the game for awhile, and then seeing the video with colored inserts it just don't look right. I thing this is the design they were going for on this machine. It is cool when all the lights on the game turn off. It then feels very dark after playing a brightly lit game.

So what did you think of the game was it good?
Maybe the game needs some spot lights in the middle of the playfield.....I play pinball in a dark room...so I want the playfield to bit lit well.....my 2 cents

It's lit just fine when you are playing it in person.
Maybe even too bright for a horror theme.
It is about 8 times brighter than TFTC, if you see them both in the same room.
Well, that's good. I know most new Sterns don't have a light coverage issue...must have just been the video.
Can you tell us if the inside of the cabinet has service rails or or is the play fields just on a hinge like older games,I remember us talking about this as a possible cost cutting move
Steve, any hints as to what's in store for the LE's you'll be doing outside of the powder coated armor?
Quoted from DCfoodfreak:Rails went away many games ago.
I don't mean the play field brackets I I know those went away
On the pro a long time ago I mean sliding rails for the play field
Servicing
I thought we heard they might go back to the tilt only
Like older games like adams family and older de games
I have made a few mods for this Pro today, rear UV LED interactive lighting for the Prison House, and Apron lighting effects. I'll be getting the powder coating hardware tomorrow. I am working on getting parts of some other mods that we are planning on doing.
As always we will be offering a interactive controlled upgrades which will be WD back box lighting for the Pro and LE, speaker lighting, ColorDMD changing with flashers, under cabinet lighting. Working on PinBlades artwork of the inside of the machine, something for the Well Walker, and possible a few others. I want to try them out before I announce what they are, so they will be a hit or a flop... That's the fun of prototyping.
I'll take a few more pictures of the machine once the powder coating hardware is installed and a short video...
Stay tuned for more upgrades and mods,
Steve

Nothing has changed on the inside of the machine for servicing it, still the post/pegs for the pro.
Quoted from DCfoodfreak:Gotcha, new one to me. Guess we need to check.
This is from Stern's site and is for the LE's

Something I was thinking would be a great addition to this game, as well as adding UV lighting effects like you did for MET.
Looking forward to see what you have done!

Thanks... Metallica turned out great and I have a few tricks up my sleeve for the WD... We'll just have to see how it turns out.
Also, Joe at Laseriffic is working on a great looking WD topper. I'll get with him and see about putting one on this machine at Terry's at PBL open house in a few weeks. I'll be bring this tricked out WD Pro to PBL for everyone to see and play it and also sell it
I just checked in today and Stern said the LE's will ship to the US locations beginning the end of this month, October.
Here are a few pictures of the powder coated armor on the WD Pro. I am still putting mods in it, so I'll show a video of them once most of them are done. I did installed a shaker motor and the code uses the shaker a lot.
Again this machine is for sale, if anyone would like it.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Guys..... The color looks GREAT on the machine. And, I can do this on the LE .
I have something that I am still going to experiment with on this hardware... It will either look TOTALLY Crazy or TOTALLY Stupid... It's a gamble, but it's not permanent on my first try, so I am going to see what I think and see what others think as well, I'll post pictures....
Quoted from playernumber4:That powdercoat color is awesome!
Agreed! Thanks for sharing all this, Steve!
Quoted from HemiOrange09:Does the prison need a fence?... This is just temporary mod, to see what it looks like.
The prison fence lends itself a little to much to the actual theme of the game and the show.If you could please keep it generic like Stern that would be awesome. Thanks.

That fence looks really nice. Great idea.
Digging the fence. Needs mirror blades behind the fence. Hmm, how about a fence decal applied to mirror blades?
Quoted from MnHotRod:Digging the fence. Needs mirror blades behind the fence. Hmm, how about a fence decal applied to mirror blades?
NO! The fence looks cool as a real fence. It looks good the way it is Hemi No mirror blades, it would be hard to see the fence with them on. But side blade decals with a zombie horde behind the fence on each side would look really cool! It would look like you are surrounded by a zombie horde while you are behind the safety of the prison fence, yeah.

Auh.... Your figuring out my plan.... So you mean something like this? Joe made up these and they are the prototype, so they are subject to change.
More to come....

If you are looking for ideas for MODs the one thing I think that every TWD needs is a replacement for the bighead in the prison. It would be way cooler with a fullsize small zombie or group of 3 zombies in a triangular pattern looking like they are busting out of the prison. Bashing them would be way more satisfying that bashing the head. IMHO of course
Quoted from Chambahz:Way to stick it to the Australians!!!
Don't project your 2nd class citizenship hang ups on us, ya hoser!
