Sorry to say, I still live here
Is this really the tool that's trolling the for sale thread? LMAO!

    Quoted from iceman44:

I didn’t realize anyone was left in NJ.
    Springsteen?
My brother just moved his family from neighboring RI to Texas

RI is not a neighboring state to NJ, nor do we wish to be associated with it.

Everyone in North Jersey knows it's Taylor Ham.

    Quoted from Dr-Tommy:

Central Jersey checking in here. Grew up outside the hood (Trenton) and still love our State. If visitors only took a short trip off the highways they'd be surprised how beautiful NJ is. Everyone judges us by either the Newark Airport view or the old Jersey Shore reality show
Living and working in Switzerland I love hearing what euro peeps think about the east coast (and USA in general).
Miss me some good old pork roll (Case!) and Tastycakes. Hey I was just visiting and couldn't find the orange Tastycake cupcakes anywhere! Did they stop making them?

I lived in Colorado for a while and had a friend out there who could not believe I grew up in cow country. "No, I've seen NJ, I Landed in that airport... It's all factories and pollution."
As much as I enjoyed growing up here, I would love to escape soon. This governor is ruining it beyond how badly Christie destroyed it, and all of NY is moving here now to escape New York Shitty.
Used to be the PA plates were the problem riding 50 in the left lane, now NY is the problem driving like they are eternally lost and aggressive driving at the same time.
    Aaah. The good old days...

    Quoted from Meri-cah:

Let’s see what the package says

I rarely pay attention to the package... Example: I stick q-tips in my ears. It's Taylor Ham!!

    #73 2 years ago
    Quoted from mbaumle:

Taylor is the brand, pork roll is the product
    [quoted image]
You can always tell what region of NJ someone is from by what they call the stuff and if they say “wooder” instead of “water” or “Jawn” as a replacement for literally any noun.
I had a roommate in college who pronounced crayons “crans,” my other buddy pronounced them as “crowns” and I’ve always pronounced them “cray-ahns.” We argued and argued until we decided to settle on calling them “wax pastels.”

    Jawn???

    #80 2 years ago

It can't be a jersey thing. I'm born and raised here and I have never even heard that term!

    #82 2 years ago

    OMG. Here we go.....

    #101 2 years ago

It's a good thing we are all into pinball, with this shit weather. just reminded myself how badly I suck at JP.

    #103 2 years ago
    Quoted from jkashani:

Working in the beautiful town of Paterson NJ.

    Well THAT sucks!

    #107 2 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

You literally live about 300 yards from where I grew up. Crazy....

    You grew up??

    #109 2 years ago
    Quoted from romulusx:

    This is ham?
    [quoted image]

Hard for me to tell if it's Taylor Ham, when all I can do is wonder what kinda sex chat this is....

    This weather SUCKS!

    #121 2 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

No worries: Tuesday will be beautiful.

Yeah, I'm off Tuesday.... The wife and kids... Nope

    #124 2 years ago
    Quoted from jkashani:

Will have worked Saturday, Sunday and Monday. What are you guys complaining about?

I'm complaining because I paid my dues and worked a career requiring nights, weekends and holidays. Now I'm off and it's cold and rainy!

    #131 2 years ago
    Quoted from jkashani:

Good point, but I still can't afford to spend what people are spending on pinballs these days. I got a long while before retirement, I envy those who are there.

Don't wish your life away! It's nice to have a pension, but it's also nice waking up in the morning without everything hurting

    #133 2 years ago

Philly can have "jawn". It sounds ridiculous.

    #141 2 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

I've met her. She lives in my neighborhood. I teach her nieces and nephews. Here she is trick or treating at my house. [quoted image]

    #150 2 years ago

I have had way too many shots of jack already.

    #193 2 years ago

    Quoted from jrpinball:

What about far north/northwestern New Jersey? Like where there's actually hills? Doesn't resemble any other part of the state.
It might as well be upstate NY.
    [quoted image]

    That's where I am

    #245 2 years ago
    Quoted from Goyomex:

It's been mostly dry all day - but now they're forecasting 6" of rain in the next 6 hours from the tail end of the storm. Thankfully not much in terms of extreme weather so far.

Put the news on... A tornado touched down in mullica hill about an hour ago and levelled houses, removed some roofs.

    #249 2 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

My sisters front yard in Westfield...
    [quoted image]

I hope that isn't her Porsche

    #255 2 years ago

Glad you mentioned the pool. I just geared up to do a property check after hearing a tree crack and my pool is also overflowing
