Is this JUST for NJ guys, or are RI guys allowed to join? We're not allowed to have a sense of humor anywhere else. I feel so unloved in other threads.

    #3 2 years ago

Howdy neighbors! What's the good word in the void?

    #4 2 years ago

Neighboring states can join? There's no sweatpants and #paytheboob is still a thing over here in Pennsyltucky. We (mostly) have a sense of humor too!

    #5 2 years ago

This is an open thread that welcomes all.

    #6 2 years ago

All people who aren't poops on a shit stick can join. And you'll even get a free "thanks for joining" upvote from the Boob when you do!

    #7 2 years ago

With the coffee, cigarette and your expression you look like an AA sponsor listening to your sponsee. Not that I would know anything about that

My one experience with NJ was when I was really drunk in Philadelphia and I accidentally walked across the bridge to Camden. My glasses are in the Delaware River somewhere.

    #8 2 years ago

Do transplants count? I just wanted to move to a state where I couldn’t turn left, buy beer at a convenience store or pump my own gas.

I didn't know you moved here! Congrats and welcome!

    Hi assholes!

You want to see assholes move to Florida we have buckets full

    #15 2 years ago

A new neighbor moved in next door 3 years ago, then proceeded to fill the acer of land with dozens of junk cars, junk boats, and other JUNK. then build a tiny corral and brought in 3 horses.

So if I look to the north, I see a junkyard that smell like shit.
Is this Jersey enough? Does this count?
Or does this mean I live in Pennsylvania and can just see and smell NJ???

    #16 2 years ago

Hey I vacation in NJ... can I join? I think I have spent a 2 week vacay in NJ for like 12 of my 59 years on this planet. Atlantic City (before casinos), Ocean City, Cape May, and Cherry Hill... and, well, it's a long story on Cherry Hill.

    #17 2 years ago

Sorry to say, I still live here
Is this really the tool that's trolling the for sale thread? LMAO!

Really? I love Florida. Try to go 3-4 times per year and rarely have run into a local ass

Marlton fella here!! Cherokee high class of ‘95!!! But I was smart and 6 days after graduation I fled the armpit of America!!

Haha! Miss the food a lot. Miss my wawa hoagies. Miss my tastykakes. But that’s about it!

Jersey strong til the end tho.

    #23 2 years ago

Sabbath played in New Jersey with Rob Halford on vocals some years ago and one of the songs was "Into the Void."

Can I join this void too?

    #24 2 years ago

I didn’t realize anyone was left in NJ.

    Springsteen?

My brother just moved his family from neighboring RI to Texas

RI is not a neighboring state to NJ, nor do we wish to be associated with it.

    #26 2 years ago

I am driving to NJ from Mich next week to buy a pin - can I be an honorary joiner?

    #27 2 years ago

Up votes for everybody. I do believe the pic is the RI troll that has blacklisted NJ. Thinking shirts for Pinfest? Or maybe toilet paper? Bumper Stickers?

    #28 2 years ago

Glad we finally got our own thread. We seem to dominate the Northeast for sale thread already. Maybe that means like me we get bored with pins quickly and sell them….

    Lol. Who knew?

    PA? NY? Maryland. Tiny

South Jersey here. 10 minutes from Atlantic or Ocean City. nice quiet bay town.

    #32 2 years ago

Hope to see some Taylor Ham sandwich photos posted here this weekend.

My name is Nick and I will admit that my sorry Rhode Islander self has always wanted to be a NJ boy! I like to drive to NJ at least a three times a year to pick up pins there. When I go, I always stop for gas and get out of the car to pump it myself......only to be yelled at by the gas attendant. I play the Jersey Boys soundtrack at least once a day and also find time to eat at Jersey Mike’s subs weekly because I feel like it makes me more legit. If a pinhead from Jersey wants to buy one of my pins, I typically give them a 15% discount vs listing price, compared to those NY pricks, who I tend to charge 15% over market value. I love you NJ! Pinside would be nothing without the contributions of our NJ pinhead brother. You guys rock! Peace out!

    #34 2 years ago

I dropped off my son in NJ with relatives once, does that count?

    #35 2 years ago

I’ve traveled tens of thousands of miles on the NJ turnpike over the years. That’s gotta count for something?

    #36 2 years ago

I hate Jersey. I’m ready for the Carolinas.

Some very nice skater kids figured out my situation and turned me back around. It’s not just God that takes care of drunks.

    #40 2 years ago

Exactly. Pork roll. And thankfully I can get it at my local grocer here in AZ. But yes..... PORK ROLL!! Says it right on the package people

    #41 2 years ago

I fly over NJ a lot, don’t think that counts though

Love Ocean City. Spent many vacations there. Will have my ashes spread on the ninth street beach when the time comes! Born and raised in NJ

    #43 2 years ago

South Jersey here! 20 minutes from Philly, 1.5 hrs from Baltimore, 2 hrs from NY. If nothing else, it’s quite a convenient location!

    #44 2 years ago

Everyone in North Jersey knows it's Taylor Ham.

Central Jersey checking in here. Grew up outside the hood (Trenton) and still love our State. If visitors only took a short trip off the highways they'd be surprised how beautiful NJ is. Everyone judges us by either the Newark Airport view or the old Jersey Shore reality show

Living and working in Switzerland I love hearing what euro peeps think about the east coast (and USA in general).

Miss me some good old pork roll (Case!) and Tastycakes. Hey I was just visiting and couldn't find the orange Tastycake cupcakes anywhere! Did they stop making them?

I lived in Colorado for a while and had a friend out there who could not believe I grew up in cow country. "No, I've seen NJ, I Landed in that airport... It's all factories and pollution."
As much as I enjoyed growing up here, I would love to escape soon. This governor is ruining it beyond how badly Christie destroyed it, and all of NY is moving here now to escape New York Shitty.
Used to be the PA plates were the problem riding 50 in the left lane, now NY is the problem driving like they are eternally lost and aggressive driving at the same time.
    Aaah. The good old days...

    #48 2 years ago

    Ex-Montclair, New Jersey, checking in.
Damn do I miss Bottle King and Taylor Ham/egg/cheese on a bagel for breakfast...but I sure don’t miss the insane taxes!

Jersey is wierd, people are very different based on north jersey(taylor ham, NY sports teams, Subs) or South Jersey(pork roll, philly sports teams, hoagies) or central jersey which many say doesnt exist but I say it does as I grew up there. And then theres the shore which can technically be all of those but is kind of its own thing. Ill live here forever im sure, my 16k of property taxes every year does kind of suck though.
