Quoted from Chalkey:

Poll needs a third option: Wonka not so good and why would anyone listen to Kaneda

Quoted from romulusx:

It was a total surprise,I’m sure

I agree there should be a 1-10 scale of what kind of ass K-man is

I guess it should not be a total surprise I just figure the regular tools of pinside would see the humor

Kaneda gets my TWIPY vote because he’s the only one out there giving his full honest opinion and that means a lot to me. He may not always be right, but he’s not going to hold back. Everyone else plays it safe and somewhat caters to the manufactures.

As far as Wonka and purchasing a game, machines are so expensive these days they have to get everything right for me to plop down that kind of cash. Wonka didn’t meet that for me because of the use of assets and I don’t think the playfield has any wow moments. JP seems fun, but I’m not a fan of the call outs and use of the LCD.

I agree with this.

What are the benefits of "not holding back" when you are an ill-informed putz?

Quoted from screaminr:

As a hobbit owner I understand loving a pin when lots of people don't like it . Wonka missed the mark in my opinion , by only having clips from the last half of the movie . My favourite parts are when the world is looking for golden tickets and Charlie is in school ect . Kaneda is my go to podcast and will probably get my twipy vote , but it he is so Wishy Washy and hypocritical , but the one thing that really makes me cringe is when he begs for money . Considering financially he is doing so well " please donate dollar a month " . I just picture him with a cardboard sign sitting on the footpath out the front of a building . If you're doing a podcast for the love of pinball Just Do It For The Love . ( or the hate) .

We found the one guy who passed on Wonka because they didn’t get the rights for “Cheer Up Charlie”.

Hahaha. That song sucked, I remember fast forwarding through it every time I watched the movie as a kid... cheer up Kaneda....

Couldn't agree more . Cheer Up Charlie is the worst possible song you could have in a pinball machine I'd rather have a Nickelback song

hah, I love the movie but I used to sing this song (or play it on my phone when I was feeling more merciful) to annoy the hell out of my son when he was acting grumpy. I think he has PTSD from that song now. Would not make my top ten songs to include in a pinball machine, that's for sure.

Cheer up Charlie is like a quick random sample you could throw in for an occasional ball drain/ball saved, but no way I'd wanna hear the tune while playing.

I've purchased all the JJPs NIB. WOZ's theme and L outlane were enough for me to let it go. It and Wonka belong in the "Corny as Fuck" category. I HATE all that "family-friendly" edgeless bullshit. But Wonka's gameplay is among JJP's best, so it stays. If only I could have Danny Elfman's music from the remake. SO much better!
