Quoted from CrazyLevi:Sweet...will be at Mandalay in August and will be sure to visit.
I wondered why not the NY.NY. but then realized that Mandalay Bay was a haven for balding Jewish guys poolside in speedos.

Quoted from Llabnip1972:What are some of the nearest casino/hotels? I've never stayed at Mandalay bay. Anyone know how their poker room is?
Best poker rooms seem to be Aria, Bellagio, South Point & The Orleans.
Quoted from MrBally:Pins and Pitch & Bats: 41% down.
Pins, Pitch & Bats, videos, redemption games, arcade games (basically everything set up) : 35% down.
Not trying to get in a pissing contest with anyone. Just stating what I, as well as two others in the vfw pinball group have observed recently.
Having been there "briefly" on Sept 13th, I would also agree with your #'s
Quoted from pins4u:Oh - so he DOES care? If he COULD care less it means he actually DOES care!
I think you might mean "he COULDN'T care less" - expanded means - "he COULD NOT care less".
Why is this simple English so difficult for many to comprehend?
As a business owner.....cash is king.....no fees or anything else to worry about. And as any operator will tell you, employees were the biggest thieves when it came to emptying the cash boxes. On the other hand, as an owner, very easy to make a cash box contents to easily disappear without a paper trail.
Quoted from prl867:Today we had a food cart in front. A very nice non-profit family, run by Kenny, that sold delicious plump hot dogs and nachos for $2.50 each, plus an assortment of candies and snacks. He’s not renting the space or anything. The cart just fit nicely without taking up the room that a food truck would occupy.
Food is allowed inside the PHoF, as long as none come in contact with the games. There are several chairs and benches.
Just FYI for ya’ll.
Are you allowed to remove your mask to eat & drink inside?
Quoted from timarnold:Homepin wanted a location that would run the wheels off the machine with constant play in a location where there are high level techs at all times that can give them feedback.
Quoted from too-many-pins:People who focus on the negative will never know how to enjoy life & be happy. Put a positive spin on things and just think of how many machines are up and running at PHoF. There are very few locations with over 100 working machines and even on the worst days I am sure it would be easy to find more than that working at PHoF.
It is a shame Tim can't "do better" as far as the number (or percentage) of machines that are fully working. But that isn't going to change so just accept it or go somewhere else.
I doubt many people doing what Tim does could do it better. It isn't perfect but he works his ass off to make it as good as he can make it and I give him credit for that. If you want to play 100's of great fully working machines go see Clay & his crew at VFW the one weekend a year they are open. Clay runs a "well oiled machine" but being open to the public 3 days a year is a heck of a lot different than being open everyday.
Anyway - my two cents about this again!
You are correct, but when I am dropping .50 to $1.00 per play on the supposedly "working" machines and they are just not right, it's very hard to focus on the positive.
Quoted from poppapin:No biggie, I'm sure they'll reimburse you the .50 you lost and you can play one of the many other games. Problem solved!
That's 100% not the point.
Quoted from LeonSpinkx:I'm curious the difference between "arcades" and "videos".
Anything pre video 1979 or so ? Games like Chexx, Skee Ball, Bowlers, novelty games or anything electro mechanical like rifle games.
Quoted from bob_e:How about the hybrids? Baby Packman, Grannies and Gators
Still pinball yet part video Those are from the Dark Side.
VFW has both
Quoted from cfh:i hear there's a site called www.vidside.com perhaps that's the site for video game people. or maybe go to the video game forum on this site... (oh wait, there isn't one...) but i'm sticking with pinball and its derivatives that use the same technology. video games nearly killed pinball. i'm not going there, they are evil...
Hey, there is no www.vidside.com!
You lied to me!
pasted_image (resized).pngQuoted from prl867:Shockingly, yes. Mainly just to children and pedos, and occasionally some moms.
Pedos huh? LMAO
