Basically, you have to try it and figure out what you like. I definitely lean towards the old school bulbs from a purist standpoint but I've recently decided to at least give LED's a shot. I ordered 30 LED's on Monday from Cointaker, 1/2 premium 2 white and 1/2 premium 2 warm white, to experiment with. I might experiment with color later on but one of the major LED turn offs for me is when people make their pins look like Christmas trees. That kind of look is not for me.

One thing that will definitely sway me to NOT go with LED's is if they have visible strobing like I've read that some do. The ones I ordered are supposed to be nearly strobing-free so I'm hoping for good results.
