    Quoted from tomdrum:

Edmunds just reported that 80% of new car buyers are paying above MSRP.

That’s the reason why I won’t even begin negotiating trading in my 2016 Tacoma for a 2022 model. Perhaps, I’m not the only one with this attitude thus causing a used vehicle shortage.

    Quoted from Strummy:

You'll get more for your old car and pay more for your new so it basically a wash

Not really, the dealership is gonna play “hard to get” while lowballing your trade. Just do the math. 2016, 41K miles with no accidents. Get this similar offer about once a month. Daytona Toyota

    Quoted from schudel5:

Can't find anything new. So I guess I'll just keep driving this 77 year old heap.

Lemme evaluate your trade. It’s old, not worth much. We'll get you $500 for that.

    Quoted from locksmith:

Picking up this 2017 grand caravan tomorrow. 23,000 miles garage kept 1 owner. Looks better than new.

    Who was the previous owner?

    Quoted from Jaybird815:

That’s actually better than the the one at my dealer, 15k. Broncos were 15-25k.

Something a potential customer always remembers after driving out.

Made an impulse buy and ordered a Tesla 3 long range. Should be interesting since I doubt the car will be available until late this year which gives me plenty of time to change my mind.

    Quoted from tomdrum:

I'd like a Maverick but looks like I'll wait a year to get one until hopefully the inventory increases.
Friday we're going car shopping. GF wants a larger SUV than her 2016 Escape. Looking at 2019 & 2020 Honda Passports & Pilots and Toyota Highlanders. With a 15K trade and 3K in cash were looking at 35-37K vehicles.

May seem boring but keep what you got, use those monthly payments for monthly excursions. You guys aren’t married to car payments are you?
