Sitting here with drink in hand, waiting in anticipation. Looking forward to the show

Still blank

Quoted from Toppers:

So it hasn’t started?

They said the start may be delayed because the previous event had to end and then they had to set up

#109 5 years ago

They're on

#110 5 years ago

I'm enjoying this. Yes it's as amateur but they're keeping it moving and the nominees videos are well done. Good job!

#111 5 years ago

With some better lighting and microphones this would really be top notch. It is a fun watch though, the seeds are there to grow into something really cool.

#112 5 years ago

Uh, duh fuh?

#113 5 years ago

<cringe>

#114 5 years ago

Can’t watch it, what happened that was cringe?

#115 5 years ago

I can see why they do podcast last

#116 5 years ago

Well, that was interesting...

#117 5 years ago

Perhaps Stern will take this more seriously next year.

#118 5 years ago

Was that Hilton booing?

#119 5 years ago

So, who won? Unfortunately, I was out while the awards were on. Is there a list somewhere?

#120 5 years ago

That sole guy booing the whole time when K was shown is a fool, not noticing he is just ruining the good mood for everybody else.

Good job! Please hands up so I can put you on ignore.

Edit: That said K should have used the chance to apologize to Tim Saxton in front of everybody instead on making a snarky joke on the Stern-Team. At least I personally would have liked that.

Edit 2: Thankfully Hollywoodbone kinda naturally saved the situation booing at the TWIP podcast, altough the other guy didn't get the hint.

Never heard of Kaneda. Seems like a douche from what I’ve researched.

The one thing that really stood out was how dedicated Zach is and how much he truly loves pinball. Thanks SDTM!

Yup that about sums it up.

And he should have used the opportunity to apologize, but you know that would require him to have an ounce of self-awareness.

You are now subscriber 2000!

#125 5 years ago

Watched the whole thing and I'm impressed on how well it was done. Even the awkward parts were entertaining. Highlights for me:

Eric's speeches.
Franchi breaking the Twipy
Kaneda making heads explode
IM taking best pin

Also, good to see Robin!

#126 5 years ago

Enjoyed the show ZMeny and @hollywoodbone. You guys did a great job as hosts. Entertaining show

Apology for what? He can’t help himself for being awesome.

That last 15 minutes was a mess... lol.... I dont care who you are, you just dont boo a guy for doing a podcast you offer up for free. Come on. No class.

#129 5 years ago

Thought it went really well. Some great presenters and some exceptional intros to the awards. Got to see someone smash a trophy but still Kaneda is the talk. Shows how polarizing he is.

Instead of doing "research" and just taking other peoples opinions try downloading an episode and make your own decision.

Has literally nothing to do with his podcast

Didn't he smash a stool? (Stream just broke down when he did.)

Kaneda isn't the talk, the *person* booing all over is. And despite ruining the show for the others, he doesn't even realize that he helps K's infamous reputation with that.

I was hoping Robin was presenting best pinball podcast.

#134 5 years ago

Did anyone jot down the winners?

I'd pay money to see that.

I thought the snarky joke was aimed at JJP and their lackluster presentation from yesterday. 200 at 12.5k each.

#137 5 years ago

I shy away from many pinball podcasts/streams because many times it is unbearable to watch/listen. Many are nerdy and they laugh at stupid shit and it's like nails on a chalkboard.

That being said, this event was top notch. I was entertained, they kept things moving, and it was fun.

Your hard work paid off guys. I applaud you for a job well done!

Kind of interesting that the back to back twipy award winning pinball podcaster is banned from the twipy award wining pinball website

Hats off to Zach and Greg for putting on such a good show. I really enjoy the Twipy's!

Pretty sure it was a trophy, was out of screen though

Was referring to the chat on the Stream. I agree though, all of this helps with his personal brand. Including the way he was dressed for this. He knows what he's doing.

The booing guy was an obnoxious douche who should have been removed by security.

#145 5 years ago

I caught most of it . I think they did a great job , wish I was there in Texas to watch .

#146 5 years ago
Quoted from Joeplainfield:

Zach said something about they have no budget for him smashing something (so this was scripted of course) so I thought he smashed something around him that was intentionally placed there?

#148 5 years ago
Quoted from Rob_G:

Why did he break the trophy? Or was it an accident...

It was a joke, Zombie Yeti got the Twipy for best art but wasn't there to receive it. Franchi was on the stage to accept it, gave a short speech, broke the trophy and stormed off. Pretty hilarious.

Didn’t know that. I had to google it. No specific state, just a random danville in the show
