You could give out a gold twipy to 1st, silver twipy for 2nd and bronze twipy for 3rd. Would that be a solution? The top 3 in each category have a trophy?

I’m fine with the way it currently is, just sharing an idea where it rewards everyone’s hard work. Not a participation trophy-

Or you could just not give a shit! It's meant to be in good fun and nobody was robbed or cheated out of a prize. It's pinball. It's not the Olympics!

Can we please mark the title info in the thread. A mark in the index would make sense.

Am I confused that full results are not apparently shown. Any where.

    Must I watch the video?

    Pinball Palace in 2020 perhaps?

I want to stack the deck for my place next year.

    LTG : )
    Disclaimer : I figured a way. And I won't do it.

I dunno, I think I’m a pretty good competitive player.
Also I built a pinball machine in the public eye. ‍
Spaceballs, Metroid, and every other homebrew out there deserves a trophy. Perhaps you didn’t listen to my acceptance speech. ‍ ❤️

I'm personally excited for you winning homebrew Jack! Congrats!

    Dee-Bow says it well.....

I'll add, if you are worrying about how "accurate" these awards are, you might be missing the point (at least for homebrew).

And look... I'm runner up, so if Jack is unable to fulfill his duty as "supreme leader of the homebrew empire" it'll fall to me, LOL.

A very solid and respectable second place I will point out. Congratulations to you.

Careful, the trophy boomers might hear you.

In all seriousness, your pin looks cool, but as a voter/viewer it felt kinda hollow to see an incomplete game that basically no one played win best homebrew. Might have been better to wait a year and drag it to a few shows. Dare I say, earn it?

Thanks!! Maybe my next game will pull a TWIPY, you never know!

You were robbed but looking at the trend, you finished much higher than previous years. Pinball Palace in 2020 perhaps? Looking forward to another visit once it is safe to do so and the lockdown is lifted.

It was our first time in the Twipys we only been open 2 years

    Quoted from pin2d:

It is crazy how long the committee discussed this category, it is so hard to define! We reached out to all the nominees to see if they thought their creation should be up for the award this year, as they only get one year to be eligible.
As I've mentioned a few times on different mediums, next year we're going to have a document which will define what is necessary to be eligible for each category (though I think the home-brew category may still be a little dicey as it is a tough category).
But Committee already discussed next year defining things more clearly - example: that someone has to play in 5 competitions that year to be up for competitive player, or have 5 podcasts that year to be eligible, or 5 original YouTube content vids that year, and to better define the website category and Rookie of the Year and other categories.
It isn't perfect but we're working to improve every year!! Feedback from the community has helped a ton with that, so thank you all

Thanks for the response and sorry for the delayed response. Its great to hear you are listening to the community and thanks for still having the awards. It was great to have something to take my mind off everything.

    Thanks Again

    Upon further review....
There is a clear west coast/ east coast biased.
Not to mention a clear lack of advertising and letting the general public nominate. The nomination's clearly lacking anything this side of TX. Indisc is only thing I see.
    How many votes were cast?
    How many participated in nominations.
    These stats would be interesting.
