I've never seen ramp flaps on the sides. I agree with you that inside the ramp seems to make more sense. If it was outside, why bother?
I really don't mind the cold or the snow. I sort of like it, in fact.
But when it interferes with pinball, that's when I've had enough. I can't wait to get out there and use my Escalera for the first time!
I, too, have often wondered what people think is the crappiest acceptable stapler for both cabinet and playfield ground braids.
I declare the question to be... not stupid!
Edit: heh. Just realized that there are decent air operated staple guns on Amazon for $35. I was expecting a much higher price tag.

I saw a little bit of both the before and after in person, and I've seen and played some of Keith's other restores.
