I have just read this thread and I am considering doing a playfield with it. I was wondering if anyone knows whether Novus 2 would affect the spraymax? I have cleaned my playfield with this, would I need to get it off?. I live in the UK and can't find Naphtha anywhere, is there an alternative?

Quoted from greatwichjohn:

Look for camp fuel.

Colemans fuel?
States it contains Naptha but also with an added rust inhibitor.

Has anyone tried the spraymax 2k rapid? The website shows it is better for low ambient temperatures.

Quoted from Jappie:

Hmmm, I don't think I'd use that. One of the traits of Spraymax is that the nozzle doesn't always provide a nice and even spray, resulting in slight spluttering. Mostly when the can is starting to empty up. But, during the drying process, these splutters of clear kind of even out with the rest of the clear.
I'd think that the quicker this drying process goes, the less time there is for the clear to even out. This might result in much more sanding work after the clearing process.
It's just a thought, though. I'm very curious if this is actually what happens.

I bottled it in the end and ordered the regular version!

Has anyone successfully used this stuff with waterslide decals yet?

Nice, I am going to print some for my playfield with a laser printer. Just wanted to confirm that it can be done.

Quoted from tezting:

I have done it many times. Remember to do VERY light coats over them first. (Advise from vid) I have done that every time and have had nothing but success ☺️

Thanks tezting, is that specifically with spraymax or 2pac from a gun?

Okay, so I have managed to lay a coat of this down with great success on a playfield I plan to do some touch up work on. I need to fill some inserts and low spots. Has anyone found a fail safe way to do this with spraymax? I’ve read through the thread and seen lots about bubbling issues.
