I just bought my first pinball so I have some initial questions....
Even though I have battery backup - will my scores hold if the unit is unplugged?

Onto the real issue -
The left exit ramp, there is a laser kick device, where apu says come again, and it kicks back into play

Was wondering if someone could help me trouble shoot this
When I bought this the guys said the repair man said it would be a costly repair - so they "bypassed it"
I want to get it to work - it triggers and sounds but the solenoid doesn't fire - probably bypassed
I'm not even sure to start - I'm pretty good with electronics and I have a Multimeter
