Quoted from sebo:

Yes I did it myself, I find it matches the shadow pinball theme very well. In reality it looks much better but my phone has not a very good camera.

Nice job!

I prefer the cyan (more contrast) of the two, but both look good.

Quoted from pipes:

Anybody have these installed on their cab? Just curious how they look.

My Shadow has them and I think they look great! I'd post a photo, but I don't currently have one handy unfortunately.

As a recent new member of this club, I watched the movie last weekend as well. I agree that a lot of it was pretty damn stupid, but it was still mildly entertaining AND more importantly, I now have a much better appreciation of the game's modes and callouts. As such, I'd recommend watching it. The Sanctum in the flick looks pretty cool too.

Anyway - great game! And FWIW, pics of my TS's pinblades are below.

Despite the previous poopooing by others, I still think they look great! I particularly like how well the red accenting, that the scarf provides, ties into the overall playfield aesthetics beyond just the nightime cityscape that the other pinblade set only consists of. To each his own though.

Here's a video that shows off the color DMD and gameplay well:

I used to watch this a lot while waiting for my Shadow.

Upgraded my Shadow with Mr_Tantrum 's fabulous flipper toppers as well as green Titan rings & post sleeves; purple star posts; and target decals.

My sling star posts are red, what color are yours? I am thinking I would like purple ...

I like your thinking ...

I've had a strange electrical issue pop up on my Shadow in that the Mongol "G" target switch activates the sanctum wall every time it's hit (or just closed when testing). Not a mechanical issue as I originally thoroughly checked and cleaned the sanctum mech and the wall release coil is fine and wall drop is not subject to vibration. Also replaced the sanctum optos before I realized the "G" target was involved.

Looked at playfield underside wiring/connections - now looking at boards. Any recommendations?

Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:

Check the diodes in the switches on that column (both problem switches share the same column). You might have a bad one or something is touching something it shouldn’t be.

Quoted from Manny65:

While the Wall Target Down (sw#51) is on the same column as Mongol "G" (sw#53), the Sanctum (opto sw#33) is on the same row as "G" and more likely that it is being triggered and causing the wall to drop. Go into switch test mode and test all your switches looking for multiple switches being triggered (this will be shown on the matrix display on the DMD). Here's some info on shorted switch diodes that might help[quoted image]

Thanks!

UPDATE - Problem SOLVED:

Turned out the "G" target switch's white wire was soldered to the wrong lead of the two the diode is connected to (therefore was on wrong end of the diode).

Thanks again!

Quoted from SNES:

I had these wood grips made for the pistol. I am really happy with how they turned out. Love this game!

Yep - wood grips are the way to go on Shadow! This game is truly all about the "feel".

In every way it is sensed!

Quoted from Utesichiban:

... I would be curious, though, how owners would compare gameplay and lastability to modern games, specifically Stranger Things pro, Guardians pro, or something like Ironman?

While not as deep code-wise as most modern games, Shadow has enough cool and unique features (such as its theme, ball launch gun, dual ramps w/ diverters, sanctum wall/magnet ball lock, paddle-action upper playfield, etc.) to keep it interesting in a larger collection for a long time.

Just like any other game though, if you are playing it a lot (in a smaller collection) and don't really LOVE its vibe, you're probably going to want to replace it with something new sooner.

Regardless, I'd definitely recommend buying one and experiencing what it has to offer! I personally prefer its gameplay over Brian Eddy's other Bally/Williams games - MM and AFM.
