Do you plan on reselling it? If so, you may want to listen to the guy above.

Quoted from Blackbeard:

Members: Thinking of redoing the head decals. I'd appreciate your feedback on my plan of attack.
Peel off old decals and sand the sides of the cab. I"ll probably just sand the middle section of each side where the decal was. OR I could sand each side completely, then spray paint gloss black prior to attaching decals.
Also, what kind of wood filler should one use in case I want to build back up any scratches?
Thanks!

Perfect timing on this. The only issue when I bought my Shadow was the head decals. He threw in a set with the sale but i never did this before.I'll be watching this intently. Any insight or bid would help. Let me know how it goes.

Quoted from Aurich:

Gonna play the insufferable parent card here, but this cracked me up when my daughter drew it the other day and handed it to me:

So, this was your inspiration!

Quoted from SteveO:

I have one for sale. It was completely restored about 2 years ago. Everything was removed, cleaned, polished, repaired. Sanctum wear was touched up and mylared. The gun was chromed and wireforms were plated by Chestnut. The backbox side decals were replaced, the cabinet art is original and looks good. Inside of the cabinet was sanded, coils had new wrappers put on them, new legs. I have new plastics and plastics protectors but they are not installed. Aurich translite and speaker panel. It's been played a bunch since the restoration but still looks great. Only issue I have is when you lock a ball the next ball doesn't always feed into the shooter lane without a gentle nudge. I'm looking to get $3100.

WOW...this is steal for this quality of a Shadow!

That is very encouraging news! Okay, who is going to step up on behalf of The Shadow Club and lend Cliff their Shadow?

I spoke with him about this months ago...almost had one for him too. I wonder if some sort of casting could be done and then sent to him?

Quoted from kvan99:

Hey I know who designed that translite...in case he says yes to making more, let me know. I already have Aurich's but I really like this one.

I agree and I too have Aurich's work. But, I wouldn't mind mixing it up once in a while and would be in for one if he decides to do a run. Please, who ever knows this guy, should ask him to consider it. It's a hot title and lots of hate for the original translate to make it well worth his time. Or, just sell the art and we could have it made. In other words...I'm selfish and want this REALLY bad!

Quoted from jonesjb:

I just purchased my very first pinball machine, a Shadow! I was deliberating between a Shadow and a W2O, and I think I chose wisely (W2O is amazing too, and there can always be pinball number two).
I notice that there is a slight hum and vibration on the Inner Sanctum lock, right before the ball is pulled back. Is this supposed to be normal, or should I look to fix?
As a side note, I am very new to pinball machines, and may have some questions on my Shadow... I'll try to search and find solutions first, but is it better for me to make new topics for each issue/question or can I post in this thread?

Welcome to the hobby! I too live in Bensalem and have a Shadow. Your more than welcome to PM me and we can talk and possibly meet up. There are several of us locally that have one. So any question should get answered.

Quoted from Troutfarm:

I think its just that all the green in my game is much more saturated. Matching the paint I think is less important than an illuminated machine. I would love to see something that closer matches Lock inserts, KHAN inserts as well as Aurich's artwork, which I know is not standard, but I am pretty confident that most people willing to put a color DMD in their Shadow have replaced that translite with his.
This is all just my opinion and I am happy to finally get color for The Shadow. My only thought is this.. it stands out to me as too light of a green.

I'm with you on this. Going to download it shortly then I'll post back.
