Quoted from Taygeta:

Got in my new Shadow alt translite today. I was actually a fan of the original translite, but this new one is 100% better and now Shadow looks far more in line with the rest of the superhero pins in my lineup (SM, IM, JD). Aurich for president.

Great avatar and topper!

I kept the original translite because the charcter is more true to the pulp art. Love the alternate as well though....

Quoted from DavidC:

hi club members!
i ve just finished my TS resto and i m doing tests and tweaks to my game
i remarked somethimg weird when battlefield is on...
i m moving battlefield " flipper " right and left but it s flipping at the same time
i know it s supposed to flip only when opto is closed but it flips as soon i push button to move left or right
my rom version is LH-6
i double checked connectors of battlefield everything is ok
in tests battlefield opto is working as it should and coil too... so what i have to look at to solve that issue
thanks for your help

Your translite is really good - haven't seen that one before. My brother and I were talking of the original Street and Smith pulp charcter, he's almost 80 years old!

Any opinion on if the LED or LCD color DMD is better for this game?

Quoted from monkfe:

Funny, I watched this movie the other night....not a great movie by any means....the pinball machine...much better....listed value I see was 5K when new...seems it has held its value...

The movie while to 1994 or even 2020 audiences is meh, is a fairly accurate representation on the pulp/radio character, who was the inspiration of Batman. It ain't perfect (origin, Kahn's character), but there are a couple of scenes that are excellent depictions of what S&S, Gibson, Welles, Johnston, Morrison, etc., portrayed for decades (Bridge Assassination, Farley's death, etc).

I love it.

Quoted from jonesjb:

Brass looks beautiful. I was fortunate to have the late Mike Chestnut do mine.

Same here. I just don't think these would good powder coated.

Quoted from Demoman1:

Mike C was a terrific guy!![quoted image]

He did mine as well. He offered to do my purbas and ramps too, which in hindsight I should have.

Does anyone have an original translite and speaker panel that they would be willing to sell?

Thanks.

Thanks everyone, got one lined up.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

If I was getting to final battle every other game, then I would agree. But I’m not. So I like the way mine plays.

You're not supposed to get to the final battle that often.

#8813 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Agreed. Glad mine is easier than others though. Games more fun this way IMO.

It is an ass-kicker no doubt. But when it does allow you to take control of it, it delivers.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

6 years, and I've never seen Final battle.
I have great average games.
I just suck. So I love the game!

You have to play the best game of your life (or close to it) in order to get close.

I love it.

Quoted from Manny65:

Not sure I'd put Creech in the same category as Shadow, I find that I can get into the zone far easier on Creech and put up scores of 1-3B ... of course everyone's machines play different and I definitely played some more challenging Creech's. That said I do enjoy having it in my collection

BSD, TS, and Creech are my golden trilogy. All ass kickers.

Quoted from Gorgar666:

I’ve never even seen a Congo in real life or a Dirty Harry.

Both great games. DH can be an ass kicker, but you can grab a ball here and there and rule it. Congo has longer ball times, but the shots are great.
