My god, what a game. I've owned mine for 15 years or so. *Many* pins came and went during those years. Sometimes I don't play it for months. But I get addicted again right away when I start playing it after a long time. It's still my favorite game. Nothing in pinball beats finishing Khan.

Just came back from an amazing game on it, improving my previous GC (which had been there for years) by about a billion. It all started as a casual game after a day of hard work. I'm still trembling right now. Woohoo!

My life is now one of purpuse and honor. My life is now one of purpuse and honor.

Quoted from Sonic:

Celebrate my swapping out that translite why don't ya! : )

Quoted from freddy:

i think his translate is just fine!

Have to agree with Freddy here. Although Aurich's translite is absolutely a work of art, I don't mind me some 90's cheese. And pshhh, a little secret: *I actually liked the movie.*

If we were talking about a machine like Demolition Man here, I would probably have changed the translite a long time ago. That's what I call an ugly translite.

Quoted from sunnRAT:

Probably in the minority, but I think the original translite looks sick! Someone drew that! Anyways, very proud to own this game.

Ha, my thoughts exactly. And: my line-up as well!

Great taste, sir! Congrats on your pickup!

I was scanning some pinball stuff and ran across the 1994 magazine of the movie on which our beloved pin was based. It had a contest in it where you could win a NIB Shadow pin.

Not all the questions are the easiest, especially for non-pinheads! You really had to play the pin and pay attention to be able to know all answers. Do we have the winner of this contest in our midst?

Also, check out the weird mock-up of the pin on the contest page. I had never seen that one before.

Quoted from Methos:

The movie while to 1994 or even 2020 audiences is meh, is a fairly accurate representation on the pulp/radio character, who was the inspiration of Batman. It ain't perfect (origin, Kahn's character), but there are a couple of scenes that are excellent depictions of what S&S, Gibson, Welles, Johnston, Morrison, etc., portrayed for decades (Bridge Assassination, Farley's death, etc).

And besides all that, it's just plain fun! From the campy dialogue to the cardboard backdrops. I really enjoy it as well!

But: definitely not a movie for everybody. At times it has a certain arthouse flare to it.

A real shame that the final scene did not become what it was supposed to be. I think that they were building up towards something awesome.
