Hi. Is there a way to tighten the yellow shooter on the mini playfield ? I played T.S at a friend's house and noticed an immediate difference. His shooter does not sway sideways as much as mine when moving it left and right. If I place my hand ontop of my shooter I can rock it sideways a bit. Just like it needs tightening or something beginning to get worn. His is more firm and won't budge and lean as much as mine. There probably should be some flex but mine is definatley too much.

The arm is linked 90 degree and goes straight into the coil.

Help please. I can't see any evident tightening nut.

Thanks
Matt

I have a problem.... The four ring lamps died all of the sudden. Took down the boards and changed bridge rectifiers and caps. After that the lamps won't light. All worked fine before the swap and it is unlikely all for broke at the same time.... Do they run on a separate circuit and are they in any way handled differently than the other controlled lamps ? I do not have a manual but was thinking it could be a common easy fix problem on The Shadow.

Thanks for any input.

Quoted from drsfmd:

Why would you attempt board repair without a manual? The manual is available on IPDB.

Attempt..... ? BR 1-5 = standard swap on all WPC boards. Hardly need a manual for what is common knowledge should one want to bulletproof a game.......

Quoted from drsfmd:

My point is that you made that change without even knowing what circuit powers those lights.

Besides the point..... I was asking if the four lights and in which way they might be game specific, being controlled lightning, recieve any special treatment than all other controlled lights.... Still way far off and in another department than replacing B.R's and main caps....... You don't seem to know the solution to my root question but question if I'm capable on working on basic bullet proofing on boards or not..

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Look for a broken Yellow/grey wire just before the rings.

Put a lot of paper in your printer.

Thanks Grumpy.... A sane reply at last.... Will P.M you for the board

Hi,

Can somebody help please... Where do these plastics go ? Pretty sure to the right under the mini playfield. But they both seem too long for the area they should sit in... Do they by chance overlap each other ? Which one goes top/bottom in that case ?

31-2002-9 and 31-2002-8

When looking at the pic of a complete Shadow plastic set at any shop there are three pieces of 2002-8 included (the one with the transparent tip on the plastic) but none of the solid one 2002-9..

Any help of location highly appreciated

Thanks
Matt

So my Shadow started goofing up again yesterday.... This is a never ending story....

These are my problems now.... First problem noted; when the ball enters the mini playfield the yellow shooter stopped working..... 2nd problem after awhile.... The droptarget that enables entrance to the mini playfield goes as it should down, but then immediately raises again denying entry.....

What am I up to here ?

Any hint where to even begin is appreciated.

Thanks
Matt
