I'm so used to how my proto Shadow looks that the production games always look weird to me. Mine has the special coated rails, lockdown bar and legs and the plastic shroud around the battlefield is clear not black. Also the drop target for the entrance to the battlefield is yellow instead of black.

I'll try and snap a couple pix of it soon. I meant to say my drop target is black, not yellow to the entrance to the battlefield VUK. The targets and drop in the battlefield are yellow just like production.

I've had the ball trap there many times, glad I'm not the only one that's happened to.

Quoted from woz:

Here's what I have in my Shadow:
Lower Left Flipper: FL-11629 (Blue)
Lower Right Flipper: FL-15411 (Orange)
The Blue coil is the strongest flipper coil and is factory spec for both lower flippers. I reduced the power of the right flipper to save wear on the lower left ramp and targets as I found it just too strong.

With the ramp being metal there really isn't much to worry about in terms of the flipper being too strong and damaging it. Those yellow stand up targets on either side of it do take quite a beating however.

Quoted from MMP:

So frustrating... the protector set I got from Marco was missing a pre-drilled hole so I sent it back and they were going to send me a good set. Turns out all of their sets are missing the same hole. Quality on that plastic seems poor as well. Now I get to send it back a second time. One of these days I'll be able to put my new plastics on.

Wouldn't it have just been easier to drill the missing hole so you could still have used them?

Quoted from Tyson1868:

I have noticed on my game that the right button that controls the two right flippers will fire both flippers when depressed fully and only fire the bottom (non Shadow loop) flipper when depressed halfway. I wonder if this is intentional so that during multiball there may be an ocassion where you dont want The Shadow loop flipper to fire?

That is normal and most games (from the 90's on) have that feature.

Quoted from Brad76:

Two battlefield questions
1. Once every few games, the back wall targets will drop when hit and do not reset quick enough before the shot is kicked back up (forward) and it goes out the back of the battlefield before it gets to the magic number, say 30.
Should these back wall targets be dropping at all before it gets to 30 or is this just a glitch of The Shadow in general?
2. Occasionally when a ball is going to the right on the upper playfield, if I am bit late in moving the kicker to the right, it will get stuck as it drops down and gets wedged in the divertor and something below. After about 2 seconds the kicker moves itself back to the middle postion and the ball falls normally. Is this another common issue? Can it be fixed or again is this just a symptom to seal with on TS? Thanks

Both of these are normal, they happen on every Shadow I've played, including my own.

I believe it only matters if there's a diode connecting the two lugs.

Quoted from PinballNewb:

After owning TS for just under 2 weeks I made the Final Battle for the first time! Came up 4 shots short of course. Ended up with just over 2 billion in the end with default settings. What a great game!
Edit: and when you are on your last ball trying to make the last shot to make the final battle you don't think there's a chance in hell you are actually fitting it in there!

That opening actually gets smaller when final battle is lit, it is the only explanation!
