Congratulations on the new game. It is one of the best games ever made once you get it sorted out. What's going on with the lockbar? It looks like two separate lockbars that have been sandwiched together? Odd to say the least.

thanks!
Seems the lockbar got separated once and bolted together
And another question:
The ball shooter on my game seems too strong, causing the ball jumping off the ramp and hitting the glass. Ramp seems ok-no bents. Coil installed is as stated in the manual 23-800
Someone has the same issue?
Was thinking of installing a weaker coil like 25-1000

Make sure the plastic stud ball guard under neath the shooter lane isn't making it pop into the glass.

I checked that already-it is not the case

We had a Shadow at this year's Northwest show that was doing that. Upon inspection the front of the ramp/wireform was raised up and not bolted down through the playfield. Two washers and nylock nuts later and it went the whole 3 day show without another medic call.
Does anybody know what makes the Scenes change during gameplay? For instance if Duel is lit and then by the time I make the start scene saucer Underwater is lit. What triggers the game to shuffle through the scenes before they are started? Would be helpful to know so I can play more strategically

The left ramp changes the mode order after every successful shot made.
Quoted from Luke_Nukem:The left ramp changes the mode order after every successful shot made.
Thank you sir
Actually either ramp will change to the next mode either right or left depending on which way the ball is diverted.

Sooooo, been working on changing out the sounds and music using the pinsound + board for my shadow. Jedimastermatt gave me some help on how to do it without using a PC, or the pinstudio app.. They do not have mac support and i'm using a mac... So the process has been exhausting.. and obviously it isnt any where near perfect. I probably have about 30 more hours left to get it dialed in. Having to adjust every single sound fx and every song just going through all the files one by one
I was going for an EPIC type of soundtrack. Something to make it badass, and still fit the theme. The video is long.. and i'm sorry for the washed out LED look. it looks great in person... awful on camera.
And thanks to Matt for the help. I used his pack and edited all the files with my own.. There are still a few left behind Ive either not found yet... or have to get too.
Give me some feedback.

Been done, what else could you do? I'm always down for upgrading my Shadow.

Oh shit!
Dude, ill buy one. BUT could we design a different place to mount it? So I dont lose my Radio mod location. Maybe before the sanctum?
Just picked up a shadow and it is missing one of the rings including the wire harness and connector. Is it possible to make this myself or does anyone know where to source the harness? It seems like the ring assembly sold by Planetary and Marco only contains the ring itself.
Many thanks.

I soldered the leads on one of mine because it was missing that wire harness. Not looking forward to next time I have to change it. I do have some breadboard leads lying around, I'm going to try the female single connectors with a heat shrink next time. If they're the right guage, this sort of thing:

AWESOME job!
I've done about 10 different Pinsound orchestrations now and I know how time consuming it can be (I've done lots for HS2, a T2, a BR, and just some tweaks to WH20). I'm on a mac as well, and do most of my work in Audacity. I haven't felt compelled to install a Pinsound system into my Shadow, but now I might have purchase it and install your sound package (if you upload it to their site). I really like that you went with something really bold and not that "identifiable" from something else. It really adds to the impact of the game but remains as a background score to support the voice and SFX files.
Again... great job!

I sincerely appreciate the kind words, and for your sound packs and all the work you've personally done. As soon as I get some things figured out.. literally just some nit picking done.. Ill upload it for everyone to try out.

This is very well done from what I watched.
1. Needs a sound for lighting the sanctum lock
2. Your battlefield drops need cleaned/replaced. They are hanging up.

Yup fing sux cuz they were 35 bucks lol
You got to clean really well & decals have to be exact spot on or they start to curl & create drag.

It all sounds pretty good but, as always, with most pinsound packages, the orchestration of how the sounds transition into one another is extremely abrupt and clunky sounding. Not a knock on your orchestration, just a limitation of the platform, and why I think the stock boards and ROMs for thees games will always be superior.

No, I completely agree man.. Pinsound has done a shit job at converting the original for use on their boards, hence why i said screw it.. and made my own. I even emailed Nicholas at pinsound and told him the shadows OG was terribly glitchy.. Said they would try to recreate the issue.. haven't heard anything since.

Yep, I removed mines. All good now.
Is there a way to only reset shadow loop champion without resetting high scores? Buddy got SLC and then DMD glitched when he went to enter initials

Or if your local hardware store has a decent spring selection they'll have something that works. The original bally part lists the dimensions differently though so you'd have to go measure them but this Australian site seems to have some hard to find stuff in stock. Haven't bought from them yet but I think they're legit. Maybe someone else can chime in on their experiences.

OK, Pabst it is. I don't think drinking will help. But I'm willing to try.

Pinball Spare Parts Australia (PSPA) is legit - they acquired the majority of the WMS spare parts which is why they have some of the hard to find parts
My collection is smaller in Indiana (4) than it was in Virginia (14). I had a Shadow years ago, refurbished it as part of my hobby business and quickly sold it. I regretted it but I couldn’t be the owner of the candy store and eat all the candy. I had an opportunity to buy one in really nice condition. It just needed a couple of small fixes. I added LEDs and do not plan to do much else.
This feels like a dumb question but can a fellow shadow owner tell me where the varistor is located on this machine? Inside the power box near the coin door I only see a thermistor. Thank you all.

Are you sure that you're looking at a thermistor and not the varistor? What color is it?
It is black and labeled CL-30, I am pretty sure it is an inrush limited/thermistor. But I am not too familiar with these. Here is a picture, not great but you can see it is the black disc with red insulators. I also don't see the varistor called out on the diagram in the manual.
