Care to explain how you accomplished this?
Quoted from Scoot:But I am stoked everything is working as it should.
Looks fantastic!
I’m now having an unusual problem when I first turn my machine on. The Battlefield kicker moves all the way to the left and starts grinding. I quickly turn the machine off then back on again and all is fine with no error message. Works fine in gameplay too. Any ideas here?

Sounds like the left opto on the battlefield kicker may need to be cleaned?? Also check that the 2 shafts that the kicker travels along are still fixed in place - I had a screw come out of the end of one of the shafts, which then caused opto sensing issues as sometimes the kicker would drop slightly and not break the opto signal.
Quoted from tiltmonster:I love this hobby, so many creative and talented people (like you, Aurich, Trident... just to name a few in the Shadow forum) making mods and replacement parts so we can restore our pins to their former glory and better.
You have to include Luppin and his rules adjustment list to any significant improvements to The Shadow. Makes it a much more approachable and enjoyable game to play.

I would think a opto problem as well.

Comet matrix post lights in sunlight. Of course this only works if you have the CPR playfield.

Wouldn't recommend this. The game plays great as it is and does not require rules changes.
It would also negatively impact you if you play on any other examples of the machine.
Last ones I promise! I purchased this phurba a while back and finally got around to getting it on. I also changed out the coin door lights to match the color theme. All I got left to do is wait for the translight from Aurich and this baby will be done.

All of that is working fine (I cleaned the Opto in case) the problem is still there. I turn the machine off when it grinds then back on and it’s fine with no test errors. I’m concerned this happening every time I turn the machine on is going to ruin the motor

Repro playfield has added inserts for headlights. Wish it was an easy mod for a stock playfield. Looks awesome!
I can't get a pic right now, but under the mini playfield there is a brown bracket that holds the kicker coil assembly. Mine only has one screw as the bracket ear has broken off, but I can't seem to find a replacement part or # in the manual. It plays fine so long as the other screw is tightened well, but if it gets loose, the play get sloppy and the sleeve gets prematurely gouged causing eventual sluggish kicker play up top.
Does anyone happen to know where to find this bracket?
Sweet looking game. Mine came with Yellow flashers and with the the brass I think that looks great. I am really loving the clear titans on this game.

Green coin rejects look sick! Did you swap out the whole plastic or just LED's?
Quoted from dudah:Green coin rejects look sick! Did you swap out the whole plastic or just LED's?
I cannot speak for anyone else but they look like the clear ones from Pinball Life. I like that look and may play around with a few different colors choices myself... thanks!

You have to replace the plastics. Yes I got them from pinball life. I like them since you can add any color you like. I was debating with blue or even a color changer. I have them for all my machines.

Extremely cool! Haven't seen these before. I never cared for the way they announce new products.
Shadow close to being finished. Rebuilt just about everything. Chromed it out and added Gold wireforms. New translite, Mantis ramps(awesome) led’s and play field plastics. Need to do something with the Gun, any thoughts? Here are a couple pics....

I would chrome the gun just like you did with the lockdown bar and side rails. Then buy the wood grips from arts arcade: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1043-arts-arcade
Your Shadow is sweet btw...
Thanks for the comments. Lot of hard work, all the mechanisms where shot, lot of snap in those diverters now. Shadow is so different from other pins, giving it a uniqueness. I've been playing pinball since the 50's and consider it a top 5 pin in my opinion. Going beyond themes, and judging on gameplay. Of course I also think Demolition Man is a top 15 pin based on gameplay again. Ratings seem to be based more on theme's. I like the fun factor and shots better than theme. Both pins also have great callouts and light shows.
Think I will chrome the Shadow Gun and I am going to do the Demolition Man Handles in Gloss Black. Have to coat them with something as my wife has a nickel allergy and here hands breakout. Hence, I have to buy expensive jewelry for her or she turns green. Lucky woman!!!

I think you need to buy the entire thing , if you can find it

I’ve just finished my Shadow, nearly everything except the Playfield and Battlefield plastic trim are brand new, living the Mantis ramps, a must!

I did my gun handle in black-nickel with a chrome trigger. It looks great.
Edit:
My gun handle and wireforms were re-plated by Mike Chesnut. He did great work! I didn't actually do the plating.

I don't have a current one but found a picture in my google albums. It's really hard to photograph.

Smack bang in the middle of that dirt patch
Quoted from InfamousDolphin:Hi everyone, this band snapped and I need to replace it. Anyone have a way of doing it that doesn’t involve taking off the diverter assembly? Seems like a real pain.
[quoted image]
You might not need to take the diverters out but you would need to remove the wire ramps. And loosen everything until you can lift the plastic enough to get the rubber on.
InfamousDolphin you should be able to just take off those two nuts (maybe a few others) and gently bend the plastic up and push the ring under the plastic and onto the metal posts... Worst case loosen all the nuts on that plastic so you can move it around more before you do this (and consider taking the mongol off to keep it from getting broken). As a last resort I'd move to the wire ramps, etc...

Yes I've replaced that rubber without removing the diverter but you'll need to remove the 2 ramp flap screws (to move the ramp slightly). Although I can't recall whether I did this while the wire forms were removed or not.
Quoted from pacman11:Anyone have a picture of this area? Need to make a few connectors but just want to makesure the wires are in the correct positions. Thanks!
The manual's pinout of the GI is incorrect. I used the attached image when I fixed my Shadow (The image is not mine, found it on pinside)

Found a better pic to explain what I was talking about (actually a screw post is missing, not a broken ear)
Any ideas where to find this part?

looks like you'll have to take that off and pull out bolt from other side or drill it out, replace new bolt, good to go.
