Since I picked up a Spectrum and Fireball 2 this week, I took a moment to review Bally's Class of 1981.
It's an amazing run!
February 1981 - Flash Gordon
April 1981 - Eight Ball Deluxe
June 1981 - Embryon
June 1981 - Fireball II
August 1981 - Fathom
September 1981 - Medusa
October 1981 - Centaur
December 1981 - Elektra
I'm not sure if there was a better year by a single manufacturer.
All of these games are Hall of Fam games in my mind.

Yep. That's a damn fine list.
Man, 1980-1982 were power packed with awesome games.
My local arcades, in small Texan town, were mostly video games during the early 80s. The convenience stores, go-cart track and skating rink had pinball machines, but the arcades were dominated by video games.
I bet it was quite a site to see these games brand new and in the wild!
