Bringing this bad boy for free play. Everyone deserves to play some LCA, it's an underrated classic

    Quoted from jrpinball:

Yeah, well I saw some young kid abusing the sh!t out of it. I'm surprised the plunger isn't bent.
He was yanking it so hard, he dragged the game a foot back each time. I don't like disciplining other people's kids, but I had to say something. There was no supervising adult in sight.
I won't bring a push-up EM to this show anymore after a kid abused a "Sky Line" I brought a few years ago. The ball serve assembly was damaged by the kid slamming all five balls into the shooter lane one after another.
We all want the next generation of pinballers, but we can't allow them to abuse our games.

There's a local buddy that tried bringing some old woodrails (pre-flippers) to the Saratoga show a few years back- one kid took them both out of commission within the first couple hours. I've seen kids bash EMs around at Pastime Pinball. I'm nervous, not that I don't trust the Pintastic staff, but I feel like people should go over some basic pinball etiquette before the freeplay area.

That being said, HUGE props to the Pintastic staff and crew- really smooth 4 days and it was a ton of fun. Glad it'll be back relatively soon.

That was me! It's Yacht Rock and called Michael McTallica. You're welcome

That and System of a Road Show were the greatest things ever. PROPS!

    Quoted from dmarston:

We've had a big surge in Gottlieb titles registered for Free Play, plus some Bally titles that I really want to spend more time on. We still need more Jim Patla designs, and you get 3 Bonus Points for any game he designed.

Count me in for a restored Silverball Mania on freeplay.

My amazingly talented wife has decided to take up a vendor spot for her standing mats (She calls them Sole Savers) ... She sows them herself out of fabric (think really comfy yoga mats) they are handcrafted, roll right up and will save your feet/ankles/knees especially if you're playing pinball the whole weekend... If anyone is interested in one shoot me a PM. $20 cash.

Fatigue mats are being made right now, shoot me a PM if you have a request. So far we have:
    BTTF
    Kiss
    South Park
    Star Wars
    Super Mario
    Simpsons
1 inch think mats (4x the average yoga mat) that will save your feet the whole festival.

Hahaha that's awesome. Scouting tip for all you extra ball lounge members- the most tricked out Godzilla pro I've ever seen is in there. It's incredible...simply incredible.

Thank you Gabe and everyone who came and visited- show was great, sold some pinball covers and mats and met some really cool people! Until the next one...

Now that I'm back home and all unpacked, here's my take, especially with being a first time vendor-

All of the vendors were really cool people. Joe and son from Pingraffix were AWESOME. I bought a PowerBlades set and Joe came over to my booth to install it himself. Victor the comic/toy guy was a super nice guy and we were joking around the whole show.

The TOURNAMENTS. Every year it gets better and better. I wish there was a little more time to qualify for the main tournament, but I understand that they only have so much time to get the show on the road. Nice game selection. Both The Sanctum and WMPC are awesome for setting everything up. And the EMP peeps are the nicest people, they helped me move my gear, just super super nice. Much appreciated!

Extra ball lounge was excellent this year, most of the games were playing strong the entire show and a really nice variety of games. Gabe, props for having a System 11 there!

Unfortunately a lot of the vendors were upset about the hotel essentially double-booking the main hall on Sunday. According to the other guys there was MUCH LESS traffic in the vendor hall compared to November and much lower sales. I get that it's tough to put it all on, but November just makes more sense.

    Quoted from 80spit:

Our elevator and hallway stank bad, I figured it was all those kids from the 2 weddings there as they were partying on our floor. Made the ghetto whirlwind feel right at home though

The ghettowind was amazing. I had an Earthshaker we lovingly called Derpshaker and it reminded me of that. Played split flipper with a friend and it took us 100 tries to hit the ramp to lock a ball... Finally did it and it was like we unlocked a wizard mode or something. Thank you to you or whoever brought that.

    Quoted from jackd104:

The elevator stank like death. Literally. As in there must have been a dead animal in the shaft or on the roof.

It was amazingly terrible. Like a stench that none of us had ever witnessed before. Just a combination of all of the most foulest of substances. Everyone should experience it once to experience what hell must smell like. Seriously, the hotel should advertise it.

A Mata Hari in free play had one.

And there was a Swords of Fury with one too

    Quoted from dannunz:

I don’t understand why you would just go to Allentown if we moved to November? I would think getting further away from Allentowns May date would make you go to both. Being 50 days after Allantown I believe hurts our vendor sales considerably

Talking to the vendor guys this year this is exactly what they said. The best year for them was the year it was in the fall.
