@dannunz---add a poll, seriously. I'd wager that the community could support it! 2x a year, properly spaced out would be incredible. It would also give those a chance to attend who couldn't attend one or the other due to other obligations. FWIW, me and nearly everyone I know in the hobby would attend 2x/year.

Was there all day Sat, dropped a lot of cash ( bought 3 pins, 1 NIB) and had a great time as usual. When you really think about it, this event seems to take a LOT of planning and coordinating and is MUCH appreciated! It's run smoothly and the fun factor is a 10. Looking forward to next June (or Nov?) . Either way, thank you to all the volunteers and principals!

@ Dannunz...are you able to say what the admissions are from year to year? In other words, is it dropping or increasing? If it is indeed increasing, it'd be a good idea to stay put. Whiners are going to whine, and Pinside has the market cornered on that. the rooms will be filled all the same, and people will bitch about them all the same. This isn't a "mint on the pillow" -type place!

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

It's more of a "mold or blood on my pillow" kinda place.

Then bring your own pillow. Easy-peasy, especially when you know what to expect.

Why not start a poll --who would or would not attend if it was held in Boxborough (or any other place for that matter). This would give you a halfway decent idea on whether or not it'd be worth moving.

Seriously, Levi? You live in Manhattan, and you're skeeved by some cockroaches? Apparently, you don't eat out much!
The biggest issue with the host hotel as with so many other businesses, is adequate staffing due to COVID.
Just go there to play pinball. You don't have to stay there, you don't have to eat there. The venue itself is fine. Whiners? Ooh... my AC is smelly.... ooh, I have a CRT TV in my room. Don't like it? Don't stay there then!!!

PERFECTLY stated! Sooo many whiny bitches on here. Jesus.

Not sure if it has ever been mentioned, but have you looked into Mohegan Sun Casino? I know, I know-it's expensive. Really expensive. But if properly managed, it will be a monster of a show! Went to Terrificon there and it was amazing. I've been to many, many other events there and it never disappoints.
To say it's clean is an understatement. The hotel is beyond Disney-quality as far as being clean. The bathrooms (there are MANY) are spotless and are usually manned. As far as infrastructure goes, it's perfect. I'm not too sure of this, but I know busses come & go for those who don't like the drive. That may be an option.
Will this increase admission price? You bet your ass it would, but all of the problems people are having with Sturbridge Host will not be present at MSC. Now, keep in mind there is a subset of people who will complain regardless of where the event is held. That's too bad. Let them complain.

Honestly, with all this back & forth regarding alternate locations-why not just leave it be. It obviously works. Period. Yes, the rooms suck but aren't they filled every show? That must mean something.
The location is perfect, although for selfish reasons I wish it would be held more towards the Autumn-time of the year rather than Summer. I don't think 2 shows/year is warranted.
This is (now) an established show. Why bother changing things? If it ain't broke, bla bla...

    Quoted from PinMonk:

Basically any site not controlled by the venue's marketing had gross experiences like poop in bed, nasty pool, leaking feces from toilet, crack pipe in bed that clearly wasn't changed between guests, etc.

Lol, SOMEone was having a good time in that room. Damn!
