Actually since you mentioned that, a fellow bought The Stanley Mines Building a couple miles down the road in Idaho Springs and they are going to build a mountain amusement park. It is supposed to have a mountain coaster, a lift ride (rope tow) a mine drop and some other rides.
Looks like you could do more than a bunny slope there. But yeah, if you could build a mine drop ride that could be fun too. All you need is a bunch of pipe and a capsule. If you put the right amount of holes in the bottom you don't even need brakes. See here...
Hadn't heard about the Stanley Mine project. I guess there's lots going on in Idaho Springs with that and the Argo project. Always liked that town.
