Quoted from drfrightner:i do not think that would be a strong pinball title.
From the company that is rumored to be releasing another GnR rehash?
The Eels, the wall, the spaniard, the giant, the genius, the fire swamp, torture, the man with 6 fingers, humperdink!
“You killed my father... prepare to die.”
If this happens it will be the first jjp we buy for sure. It’s My my wife’s favorite movie. I wouldn’t even have a say but of course I’d be cool with it!

Don't forget the rodents of unusual size.
Quoted from JoinTheCirqus:ROUS of course!
We get Javelinas on the property from time to time and my wife calls them ROUS.
I love the movie, but it would not make a good pin. JJP couldn’t even translate the Wonka theme to pinball, they could never pull this off.
Quoted from thedarkknight77:I love the movie, but it would not make a good pin.
I agree. Great movie but crappy theme for a pin.
I always thought this would be a great jjp title along with never ending story, labyrinth, and goodies. Feels like those family friendly themes that would look great in a jjp lineup. I think it could be cool and my wife definitely would.

What is Stern doing? Ummm remake Star Wars for the 900th time, making another TMNT that no one needs, c'mon.
I'm pretty sure the new GNR pinball will show videos of the band playing, feature all their best songs with awesome speakers, and much more. The original GNR game doesn't play the songs or videos. If you're a true GNR fan you want the modern version with the songs and awesome speakers. What does that have to do with JJP making or not making Princes Bride?
I'm voting in my two cents right now... PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS PINBALL! PLEASE!
If you want to do a comedy make Caddyshack, Vacation, Animal House, Blues Brothers, Airplane not Princes Bride.
Of all the possible titles JJP could make I want to see them tackle MATRIX!
The princess bride is perfect fit for JJP. I’m a huge fan and would save up for one if it was done right. I love the movie.
Quoted from Dantesmark:I understand some people dont want this theme, but there are many more that do.
And, yet, you forgot to put the prerequisite Pinside poll. I'd vote yes.
Quoted from Pinstein:If true, this will be the last title from jjp imo.
People said that about WOZ too.

The movie still is so popular they did a parody of it in Once upon a Deadpool.
If you don't think this would be a great theme, you must be a single guy, who is over 60 or under 30, and just generally out of touch. The immense popularity of this movie with women alone would make this a great seller. Every married pinball collector would have the go ahead to buy. Plus many men, myself included, also put this as one of their favorite movies of all time. There is also enough content in the one movie to make two pins. It would be an auto-buy at my house. The theme song was our first dance at my wedding. How is this not a top 5 theme for themes that haven't been done? What is better? Harry Potter? Sure. Superman? Maybe. Jaws? Nah. What else? Nothing.
I understand the movie has a big following with those that grew up with it but it doesn't seem to have built a new audience with a younger generation. Other 80's movies like Back to the Future and Ghostbusters have done this but that's rare.
Below is a video where college students are asked if they know certain 80's movies. 4/8 knew The Princess Bride by just the title whereas 8/8 knew Back to the Future and Karate Kid. With how much a pinball machine costs to produce, especially at the level JJP does, I think there wouldn't be enough sales to make it a profitable title.
JJP would probably sell 10x as many Back to the Future trilogy pins as a pin based on Princess Bride.
