    Quoted from dannunz:

John your going to miss the multiple bottles of port that will be flowing.

Special import as part of the Pintastic survival kit.

There are no dumb questions-just beezleboobs (had to get in on the action)

The Australian invasion has arrived at Hartford airport. Beware-picking up the hire car now so if you see me, wife and 3 kids heading down the road on the wrong side, be nice and move aside.

Wow-Aussies are here and drinking! Yep nice storm-scary when unloading for those bringing pins. Managed to catch up with Dave and Gabe already-surprisingly still appear relaxed. Is the Pinside meet still on at 9? Want to see the boob in person.

    Quoted from drsfmd:

So the tournament room is open to non tournament players?

Not really- PAPA style-buy a 5 game ticket and play them. Register before and end of each game. You could sneak in and play I suppose, but most of the games area available in free game area too.

Heading back to Australia with the kids for school on Monday. Thanks to Dave and Gabe and the whole crew for setting up such a family-friendly show. Didn't actually play much pinball because the people were more interesting to talk too. From the big names to little old Beezleboob (and wifey who was having a riolling good time last night) the whole family meet some great people.

Have we got the final results for the tournament? Stuck at LAX for another 3 hours drinking my membership fee away. Miss all you guys and gals already! Will have to organize an Australian show and you can all promise to come over an attend.

    A few more random thoughts:

Having the tournament in the separate room was brilliant. Enabled people to concentrate on comp games without distractions.

No one has mentioned the bugs in the rooms yet - had them crawling in the suitcase too. The setting was rural and hotel was rural - I don't think you can expect 5 star luxury there, but the facilities and space were excellent for the event.

The Friday night after party was excellent - good food, great to chat with the famous and infamous, good consolidation point for end of day meeting.

I liked having separate free-play and vendor machine rooms. You sort of worked out quickly where you wanted to be to play certain games. Allowed the vendors to keep and eye on their games more easily too.

The kid activities were great. My daughters loved the balloon sculpts and face painting plus the vendors selling non-pinball related items. Keeping the whole family happy during a pinball convention is no mean feat.

Bit far to travel every year from Australia, but will keep an eye out in future years to come back again. Happy to recommend it to all to attend, especially with family.
